What can I use to sharpen a real small and very very dull pocketknife?

I was thinking of a sharpening stone, but any other cheap or better product I can use or any good ordinary item that a person would have in their home to sharpen it.

the only time I carried a pocket knife became into whilst i became right into a teenager. My pals and that i used to play a interest we spoke of as "Land." the way the interest became into performed became into first drawing a container in the dirt that measured approximately 3 ft long X 2 ft huge. in the container vertical and horizontal strains have been drawn in the dirt representing a parcel and each unit given a quantity or a letter of the alphabet. to declare your 'land' the knife holder is blindfolded and throws the knife into the container with the blade sticking into between the marked factors. If the knife did not stick or landed on its area, it became into handed to the subsequent participant. a minimum of four gamers consistent with interest. the interest had a computer screen who could save count variety of what number circumstances each and every participant could desire to get the knife to adhere in as many parcels over twenty tries. The participant who had the main 'sticks' could win the interest. Has every physique ever heard of this till now? We performed this in the 50s. in view that then I on no account carried a knife.
