My boyfriend was in an accident and got stitches in his forehead and bit threw his lip, but what's really killing him is his neck and shoulders. There were no broken bones but just major stiffness; he can barely move and can't fall asleep. Ive been giving him 3 motrins and rubbing muscle rub but he's still miserable... what can I do?

it was aobut 2 days ago, and my knee still hurts. i was walking home, and i was pulling myself up with my leg, because through the woods on the way home from my friends house, there is a place like that and, iwent forward to much, and my leg instead of bending back, it bent forward, and it went forward pretty hard. what can i do to make it feel better? i've been taking ibuprofen, and putting ice on it for aobut 1 hour a day. would ace bandage around my knee help? or maybe a knee brace

if lets say the metal part of the razor broke of, like a little bit of it, less then your pinky nail and went into your cut that was bleeding.

I cut myself four times on accident in a row and then I looked at the razor and saw a little bit of the metal chipped off, and i'm not for sure if it was like that before.

I have recently started having fairly bad heel pain. It hurts jus above the heel in the softs area. I recently began working out (flag football/running) however the injury didn't start hurting till about a week after my first workout so im not sure if that was the cause. I also purchased a new pair of Addidas running shoes for running, they have more arch support than Im used to but I thought this might be good. The heel portion does feel padded or soft though. Now I don't know if it is my new shoes causing the problem or whether I actually injured it working out. The pain subsides if I take Ibuprofrin. I read about Plantar Fascitis do you think this is the problem, how do I remedy this I can't hardly run. It has been about a week now.

I’m not even sure whether these things exist, but I’m (on appearance) a relatively fit and healthy 30-year-old man, but a bodged knee operation has left me so that every now and again my knee pops out leaving me unable to walk.

When I go out I don’t want to drag around a crutch just in case, so I was wondering if there is such a thing as a discreet (extendable?) walking stick type device I could carry with me in case I need it.

Well my doc tells me that I have an averted knee cap (???) and I'm gonna need surgery to get my kneecap back in place, but I've never gone under the knife before and I'm scared :( . I don't know what the techincal term is for that (I think it's averted blah blah blah) but I know that the muscle holding my kneecap in place has snapped off so that my kneecap is dangling... Can any doctors or people who've undergone surgery tell me what it's like?

I have a simple fracture at the base of my little toe. I have been successfully walking on it using a special orthepedic boot that keeps my foot flat. The other day while cleaning my foot, I separated my toes too much, and wow did that hurt. The rest of the day I didn't walk on it and it still hurt. Today, it is better, but there still is a little pain. I have decided to stay off of it for a few days. Anyhow, did I injure my foot again and set back the healing by separating my toes. Nothing is swollen and it looks normal from the outside.

ok so as if i bend over, each little bump of my spine goes straight in line from bottom to top until right below my neck, one of those little bumps jults to the left and than the bump after that goes pretty much back in line with the rest. i have a certain pressure in this area that doesnt really go away and every now and then i get this STRANGE sensation, and it feels like some kind of neourological tie with the irregular spinal allignment! Anyone know what this is? or have had similar sensations..ADVICE PLEASEE!

I am pretty sure i broke my left pinkie the other day playing ultimate frisbee. It is very swollen, I have minimal movement, and it is a weird purple color. Due to work and other obligations i have not yet seen a doctor. It has been a little over 24 hours since it happened and I was wondering if I could get perminant damage by waiting so long to see the doc. Also, is there anything I can do before I see someone.

I am going to have open shoulder surgery in May for snapping scapula and need to have scar tissue and/or a bursa removed from the area near my scapula. My doctor has said he want to perform open surgery because he feels this is the best option for my condition.

Some questions:...

1. He said I would need to be out 6 weeks from work.. Have others been out that long? How bad is the recovery?

2. What kind of therapy is given?

3. How much pain should I be expecting? I am soo scared to get this done and need to feel prepared for whatever is going to happen.

Any help is very appreciated!

It does not look like he needs stitches, it just looks like chunk of skin on scalp was removed during sport injury. Now it looks like raw meat showing with slow non-stop bleeding. He seems fine otherwise, has anyone experienced this. He does not want to go to E.R., has no insurance. but I have never seen this with head injuries on my children.

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I had a 1 hour softball clinic and forgot to strech... Anyway when I woke up this morning I couldn't get up becasue my back hurt... It hurt from the back of my shoulder to my bottom of my neck... I think I might have strained my muscle but am not sure... It hurts when I try to raise it and do other mosions... It also hurts bad when I try to touch it. This morning when I took a shower I also noticed it was all red... What could it be... If I do have a muscle strain or anything else what can the doctor do about it?

I'm on my high school track team and run about 42 miles a week. Lately my achilles tendons have been hurting me. I would feel OK if they where just sore but they pop when I try to run on my toes. I'd be OK if they where just sore but they hurt after strenuous runs and I can't imagine this popping is a good thing. I plan on taking an ice bath tonight which should help some, but any advice would be opreciated.
