I've been doing Phys Ed for a long time (except for last year), but this year, about 1 to 2 days after I started, my shins started to hurt. Only lately, I've been off the gym (only going every now and then). We run every day 3 times around the gym and do stretches. I'm not sure if this could affect it any. Can it get serious and is there a way to heal them (quickly maybe)? If not, is there a way?

I hurt my ankle today. I was climbing up these piled bleachers and when i jumped off (3 feet from the ground) I accidently landed on a volleyball and heard my ankle crack. (3 hours ago) Its not swollen or bruised in anyway, I just cant move my left ankle around in circles.

What kind of injury is it?
How can you help it heal?
How long will it take to heal?

Hi!
My entire life I have always hated my nose and someday wanted to get a nose job. Well a month ago I had an accident and found out I now have a deviated septum that needs fixing. So I'm thinking...hmm maybe this is my blessing in disguise and my solution. Has anyone had this and then fixed? Was your nose reshaped? Did it look different and look better? Or am I hoping for to much? Thanks for your time and help!! :)

A person in my family suffered a coma after falling down concrete stairs, she has been in it for about 5 days now and is only expected to be in it for a total of 10 days. She was placed into it to have her brain stop swelling. The doctors say she is out of the critical time and she is doing better then before. But when she gets out of it what are the risks? Will she suffer permanet brain damage or what. Please explain...thank you for all who answer.

The surgery was suppose to be a hernia repair, and an overy removal. I woke to a cut from sternum to pubic bone. I asked why, and his reply was "you should be happy you gone a tummy tuck for free" I would have never got a tummy tuck because of to many medical probs. And 5 surgerys later I am still having problems

Will the feeling ever come back? Are there remedies available? (My face is about 40% numb), and I feel as if the numbness is spreading over different regions of my face. It's been almost a year.

Evening all! I am in the middle of a lawsuit because my back was injured at work. I am still having problems and I am following docs orders for therapy, shots, etc but I still have pain. I do not take prescription pills unless abs. nec. My problem is my lawyer sent me a letter saying he is asking for 50,000 with no mention of benefits! I call asking if he is going to try for benefits but he never calls back...ever. I know he is busy and he gets paid when I win, but that is not a lot of money if I don't get benefits and I still have a lot of problems. What should I do?

Does this mean it needs replacing or are there some exercises I can do or supplements to take? What do you recommend. I don't want to see a doctor as they screwed up someone elses knee that I know.

I had a baby normal delivery and the next day I could not go to sleep because a nurse would visit my room every two hours. I finally past out in an awkward position and woke to a horrific pain in my shoulder due to the way I slept.
Doctors research suggests the chemical released in a womens body during delivery (intended for proper movement of the bones allowing the baby to drop) is reason for other joints to be pulled out of alignment. So if that's so wouldn't it be a pregnancy related injury?

I have read it is much more successful than traditional open back surgery with much less recovery time. These places seem super successful and super expensive too....I live in Texas and do have insurance that only pays 25% if not done at HCA hospital. Any suggestions???

A little over a month ago my yorkie was in the garage with me, I was getting ready to go out so I was closing the garage door. Well, I guess he saw something outside that he wanted to chase after right at the moment I was bringing the door down and I hit him. I realized it when he cried and when I reacted I realized that the door had hit his back and pinched him between the floor and the door. I emedialtly brought the door back up and he walk off limping. I picked him up to see where he was hurt and say a very small amount of blood on his paw. I did my best to clean it up and take care of it, but he wasn't very cooperative. The cut healed but he still limps, although it's not everyday. Some days he walks just fine and others with a lite limp and other days he won't put his paw on the ground at all. What could be wrong? Could he be faking it? I'm affraid to take him to the vet because I found him 2 years ago and don't know if he has a chip. Don't want give him up please help!

Both wrists and knees, been going to therapy for 4 months now and two different offices, both doctors said it was defenitely tendons and not something else like a fractured bone cause they stretched my joints and bunch of ways. I reinjured my wrist a few weeks back doing a push-up test in school, and now it hurts worse than it ever did plus the pain isn't really going away as fast with therapy. It's not carpal because my hand doesn't feel numb or hurt, and pain is isolated in hte wrist. I have weight training for gym in school plus I played a lot of basketball. Any ideas what I should do? (Other than rest, because I'm planning on being more careful)

Well one of my fingers feels, odd. I can't make a complete fest or bend it completely straight, it's very painful. However I can still move it around and type with it. Should I get it looked at? I fell off a step and landed on it I believe. I never broken anything before, so I don't know how that feels.

My 3 year old broke her leg a month ago...the doctor said she would be in the cast for 4 weeks since little kids heal really quickly, monday we went to get it off and it hadnt healed as well as he had hoped. her leg was in a cast all the way up to her thigh with her knee bent and her foot pointed downward. Now he recasted it to a short cast and it is under her knee and her foot is flat he wants her in it for another 2 weeks. What would cause it to not heal as fast as expected? I thought this was really weird since it wasnt a complete fracture and there were no complications. Any ideas?
