a prescripton get filled at pharmacy where do the paper with prescripton on it go afterward it is filled?

The pharmacy keeps it and files it away. The pharmacy has to keep it for legal reasons. They'll keep it for a set period of time at the pharmacy, and then will send it to a place to be stored.

A pharmacy has to keep script up to 5 yrs. Depending on the pharmacy they can keep longer recored but a minimum of 5yrs and at cvs they go in the stock room. They have a personal shelf just for scripts. About a yrs worth stays in the drawer in the pharmacy because a script last no longer that a year.

The pharmacy is required to retain the paper with the prescription on it for a number of years. The pharmacy files the paper and then eventually it is destroyed after a few years.

As far as I know, they pharmacy keeps it and files it away.
