I have had a broken wrist and you can travel with it. If your like going to FL then she should have got a water proof cast but if she is going skiing she should not go then. Some things like that can hurt your wrist more and make u stay in a cast longer so just take it easy and dont do anythinbg involing your wrist to much.

Depends on how big of a trouper your friend is. Generally a weeks rest is recommended before you can rersume daily activity,. Tell your friend to pack light, get a rolly cart so she doesnt have to break her other wrist carrying everything around. Also pack some advil, its an anti imflamatory , relieves pain. If she has any prescriptions tell her to make photocopies in case she missplaces the orignal so she can bring her medication on board flights and wont be hassled when she needs to take her doses.

My grandmother took her first journey outside the UK at the grand old age of 84 and had a broken wrist at the time. She thought it was great - the staff on the planes and at the airport took really good care of her.

Some airlines won't allow people to travel in plaster. Check before you go
