Whenever I take off a band-aid, it's always wrinkly, like my skin. And my skin is a whole different color than my normal color. Is it because whenever I wash my hands or something, the water goes into the band-aid and stays in?

But today, the skin under my band-aid is really itchy, so then I started scratching it. And now it hurts =( What's wrong?

I've read that it comes from repeated overuse of your arm but I do not do anything that I can think of that would strain it. In any event, I've tried ice packs, Aleve, Arnica, massage, elevating it, etc. which all work-- but only temporarily. I keep hoping it will go away on its own (just like it came) but I'm losing patience. When my chiropractor works on my shoulder, I can feel pain in my elbow so am wondering if it's my shoulder that's been pushed out of place via an adjustment. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone with experience and/or expertise in this area.

Thanks!

A few months back whilst out on my dinner break i got a really bad pain in my right foot, well my toes really which caused me not to walk properly or put my foot down firmly on the ground. When i got back to work and looked at my foot i couldn't see anything wrong with it but knew it was really painful my two toes next to my big toe. I had not knocked it that day or previously, Basically this kept happening it would be fine for days then all of a sudden i couldn't put any pressure on my foot especially my toes. This happened around 10 -25 times. On sunday it happened again and i was in agony. Whilst drying myself last night my two toes the ones i have lots pf pain with are both bruised really bad. Im going to the docs tomorow as im really worried as surley to god if i had banged it that many weeks/ moths ago it would of bruised then but i have not banged it and i think the pain i get is really weird and now it has bruised. Any ideas on what you think it may be?

The bottom of my feet, mostly right foot, front half where the toes are. They don't burn consistently, like when I'm sitting down or whatever it doesnt burn. But when I walk around bare footed it feels like this slight pain on my feet, kinda like a pins and needles/burning type of pain. I must say it does feel like athletes foot since I've had that before and it feels almost the same, but I'm also scared it could be diabetes. I'm gonna see my doctor next tuesday.

In the meantime, anyone know what this could be? Or what exactly I should tell my doctor to check? I don't want him to assume it's just atheletes foot or anything and make me get over the counter medicine and come back if it persists. Id like to rule out anything serious. So what should I say?

And if it turns out to be athletes foot, then good.

I woke up this morning, and my elbows, knees, and feet were very sore. It's night time now, and the pain has spread through my thighs and my arms, and I'm really sore.
I haven't done any excercises at all, and I don't know what could be causing this sudden pain.

Anyone know?

For the past 5-6 weeks, I have had back pain. I started running about 8 weeks ago, and this started to occur thereafter. The dull ache is usually concentrated along the area beside the spinal cord between the shoulder blades and in the very lower back. I have had no other symptoms; i.e. no urine change, no leg problems, no fever, etc, just a dull ache that comes and goes. It usually hurts when I sit. When I do something physical, like run or walk, it doesn't hurt. It also doesn't hurt when I lay down, so it doesn't keep me up at night or anything. I really haven't tried doing anything except take some OTC inflammatory drugs. I am 24 M and in good health. I started excersing intensely after 3 years of doing nothing. What should I do to make the dull ache go away? Is it muscular, skeletal, the kidneys, or something else? Should I go see a doctor? Thanks.

I have a very hard time going to sleep. I don't know if it's because I daydream too much, but sometimes I fall asleep in the middle of them. I try just laying there with my eyes closed for a long time, listening to the furnace blowing, but last time I tried that it didn't work very well.
The reason I need to go to sleep so badly is because sometimes I like to get up at about 7 AM to get on the computer, and I plan to go to bed early, but then I always end up staying awake, tossing and turning, till 11 or even midnight. Sometimes even 1! But that's only every once in a while.
What I need is a simple way to get to sleep, without any drugs or anything like that. I do not go to sleep easily at all, and I really want to get up early tomorrow morning because I have something really important to try to finish before Friday night. If anyone has any solutions I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

My ear hurts when I push on the "pinna" (see link for a diagram), and it feels slightly swollen, and someone said that it looked red on the inside. It hurts to clean my ears too. Sometimes it hurts even when I don't push it. And sometimes it doesn't hurt or it hurts very little when I do push it. And it hurts to rest my head on that side when I lay down.

Why is this happening? What should I do (see doctor, wait a while, etc.)?

Thanks ahead of time for your help!

Two of my family members (my younger brother and my dad) are sick with high temps and uncomfortable stomahcs. My mom and my other brother are not sick and neither am I. I am going somewhere for the weekend, and I really don't want to get sick and have to miss it. I've been looking forward to it for quite a while.

What are some ways I can help to prevent getting sick? I know the obvious- washing hands constantly and using Clorox or other disinfecting wipes on light switches and door handles... But what are other ways to help me stay healthy? I know there's no 100% effective way, but any tips you have I would be VERY grateful for!! Thanks for any help you can give!
