What is the point of being able to go to the Dr and get a script for something to go to the pharmacy to be told that your insurance doesn't cover it, nor any alternative medicines that can be prescribed?

It's my sons insurance. He has a ring worm. Who knows where it came from. But, the Dr prescribed a topical and the generic cost $115!!! The pharmicist told me to give him lotrimin and cortisone instead.

It's just ridiculous and crazy. What's the point of having med. insurance when I could have looked that information up myself on the internet and not waste an hour and a half at the Dr. I already knew what it was.

My Family was without any type of Medical Insurance for 25 years. We paid cash for everything or did without.

We have just turned 65 and now have Medicare. Trust me having insurance is far better than having none.

Read your insurance drug book and find out which yours covers and ask your Dr. to prescribe something from their coverage.

Yeah, most health insuracne in this country sucks. The cost of medicine is just way too high. See if you can get a plan that does offer decent perscription drug coverage. I also have heard of programs that will reimburse you for perscription drugs. I don't know how good they are but it might be worth the research. Also see if you qualify for aid from the drug manufactures yourself based on your income level.

Medical coverage is a lot more most important You don't want lifestyles coverage except you may have dependents that can not continue to exist with out your revenue. Don't allow a lifestyles coverage salesman rip-off you

It's a shame but, unfortunately our health care system is based on profit not your health. Investigate alternative medicine for the condition that you have.
