YES YES YES! You really don't want to get anyone else sick and you don't want to dragg yourself through a miserable day. Sleep in late, take some nightquil, drink a lot of fluids, eat healthy foods, and sleep!

First of all, an important thing is, is to wear a scarf in those chilly, or windy weather. It's important to protect ur tonsils and stuff. DRINK SOME HOT TEA WITH HONEY!!!!! Ofcoarse, not too hot cause u don't want to burn urself but u know what I mean. It helps! I tried it. Stay warm. Keep your feet warm. Stay home....work will just make it worse. Chicken noodle soup! Ancient remedy but it helps! If ur throat hurts avoid drinking cold drinks, or soda, (that will make it worse). Get pleanty of sleep. Lay on the couch with some nice warm tea, a blanket, and ur fave tv show. Stay indoors (weather+wind=bad). Drink some over the counter drugs to really takle it. Get some nasal spray for your nose.Chew some cough drops.
FEEL BETTER SOON!!

You can try a decongestant like Sudafed (generic: suphedrine). The reformulated version, Sudafed PE, is less potent but you don't have to go through the hassle of waiting and filling out paperwork at the pharmacy counter. To get the real Sudafed, you have to talk to the pharmacist. For a sore throat you could use a Chloraseptic spray, it has benzocaine so it'll numb the back of your throat (also the rest of your mouth if you don't aim carefully.) Their candy drops will have the same effect. Motrin (generic: ibuprofen) to relieve fever and general acheness. Most importantly, drink lots of water!

stay home, and do the following:
Use old remedies. Have a lot of tea, as hot as possible and its better if it contains garlic. Have plenty of rest and don't over stress your self. Relax and take several baths(like 2 or 3 a day) with warm or hot water. try not to expose your self the cold weather and stay as warm as possible.

If you have no other underlying illness, you should take a decongestant and some ibuprofen or acetaminophen and go to work. You do not want to use up all your sick leave. There is a lot of year left.

you should go to your doctor and get him to give you some antibiotics (if necessary) and some cold medicine, also if you do feel really bad, which it sounds like you do, then be sure they give you a doctor's excuse for your boss. Hope you feel better soon!
