Mary...there's good news and bad news. The bad news is that yes...even having taken only 1 Lortab it will show up as an opiate in your test results....at a low level. Now the good news...or at least....with a bit of luck, good news.
Darvocet is a combination of propoxyphene and acetaminophen. It is a mild pain killer BUT it is also an OPIATE. Granted, chemically it is considered a "weak" opiate, less than simple codeine but an opiate non the less. So...make sure that you tell the person/company that is conducting the test that you have been taking your Darvocet as prescribed by your doctor for the last several days...depending on what you use it for. They will ask you what medications you maybe taking any way but make sure they write down you have been taking the Darvocet. Then when the opiate shows up the odds are in your favor that they will figure it is due to the Darvocet. That's the best chance you have unless you can delay the test for at least a weak....but what are the odds; right.
Hey, good luck. I'd hate to see you miss out on a job for take 1 Lortab.

Pre-employment drug screens don't screen for specific opiates, just opiates in general. So, if you take in the bottle of Darvocet and show that you have a legal prescription, they're not going to to not hire you when you test positive for opiates, which is all the test will show. I, on the other hand, take a drug test randomly at my pain clinic that tests for specific substances and levels. So if I were to tak a Vicodin in addition to my regular meds, OxyContin and Oxy IR, that test would show that I'm positive for opiates and then show that the opiates were the Oxycodone AND the Hydrocodone because they're testing to make sure I'm only taking the specific medicine I'm prescribed. It also shows how much of each drug I have in my body so that they know that I am PROPERLY taking my meds and not taking too much. Pre-employment screens don't get that specific, though, so you should be fine if you bring in your Darvocet bottle.

Lortab (hydrocodone, vicoden) and darvocet are both narcotic pain relievers and controlled substances - so they will almost definately show up. Ultram is similar but is not controlled and not as strong.
Make super sure to point out that you have scripts for the ultram and darvocet. the darvocet may cancel out the lortab - but I'm not completely sure about that - I don't know exactly what chemical it is in the meds that they look for.

It's probably going to show up as a difference in the PH of your urine. They then use gas to break it down further and hopefully it will just show up as being in the opiate family. MRO( Medical Review Officer) doctor will call within 24 hours to find out why you tested positive - he may settle for the darvocet script. Or you may not have enough in your system to be considered a positive. Good Luck

If you just took that one. It might not show by tomorrow morning. But to be on the safe side I would drink a lot of water, after I drank a jar of pickle juice. Good luck!

most drug screens are for narcotics and marijauna. Unless any of those pills are opiate based or have a similar chemical make up to either of those it should not be an issue.

SINCE YOU DON'T KNOW WHICH TEST YOU WILL HAVE, I'D RESCHEDULE FOR 1 WEEK AND TAKE NOTHING LIKE YOU MENTIONED -- LEST IT SHOW UP.
