I really like sleeping on my right side...its very comfortable to me, but my ear will really start to hurt and get sore so i have to turn over to my left. Its not an infection because its the skin outside. Basically the part of your ear all around the canal.

I mostly notice it when I wake up and pain starts to go away when I massage my ear.

Any clues?

had a motorcycle accident last April - fractured wrist/leg/etc....developed premature arthritis from muscle tissue healing around fractures from accident and impact to body - my body has been working overtime using other parts to compensate for disabled parts - diagnoised with 40% loss of function in hand/wrist, since then, pain has been unbearable at times. Working with docs on pain meds - now on Naproxen twice a day and Percocet twice a day - it's working, but personally i'm concerned because it's the only way to function - would this be considered an addiction???? or a lifelong pain management step in a better direction. Without any meds, I can't move, stiff, sore, cry in pain - I'm 38 yrs old, was extremely active before the accident, work full time, one daughter, one husband, 3 acres of land to care for - full time all around care giver. Any suggestions or alternatives? or stick to what works for now????

A tan makes me feel & look better somehow. Doctors warn against them for health reasons and to reduce skins aging. Still a tan makes me feel good. What do you think about tanning?

I am considered obese and am due to undergo knee replacement surgery soon. I've had a bad experience with anesthetic during a hip replacement in the past and I'm terrified something will go wrong this time.

I have been struggling with back pain for a long time, I've been reading up on ways to relieve it and I read somewhere that a cane might help. I don't care about how it would look but does anyone think it's possible that a cane might help? I thought canes were only for leg/foot injuries. I have this decorative cane that I've been walking with around the house and it does help a little, it kind releaves the stress on my back but I realize that if I do walk with a cane I need a proper one, I was just kind of test driving it lol. So does anyone think a cane for back pain might be beneficial?

My husband suffered a back injury when his seat back broke while driving a big-rig. The worker's comp company is denying the claim because the onset of back pain was not immediate. However, his doctor has stated that this type of injury usually does not result in immediate pain but progresses with time. I am looking for any articles that discuss this situation so that we can present them to the WC Hearing Judge. Is there anyone out there with medical training that could point me to some articles?

I injured my wrist after falling on it last year as I fell I heard and felt a pop and I had a lump on the bottom of my wrist just under my thumb - the doctor says that soft tissue and cartilage has popped out from between the bones and that nothing can be done about it. It still causes me pain from time to time it pops when my wrist bends and I get pain shooting up to my elbow but my GP said nothing can be done about now as I am only 19 is this true?
