Stick with your Ray Bans. The covers on the instruments in the panels of C-152's, C-172's, C-182's, etc. are plastic. Plastic sheets typically have stress patterns as a normal result of the manufacturing process. These patterns are normally invisible except when viewed through polarized lenses. Glare is annoying for sure but manageable. Consider managing your flight plan so that your ETA avoids an unfavorable sun angle or, if its safe, use another runway.

They are good and also make it easier on the eyes when out in the sun because there is less strain on the eyes and things are easier to see.

Eye doctors recommend them so I would assume they are not bad for your eyes.
