General Health Care - January 2007

I'm 14 male, i have a pain on my left nipple it doesn't hurt all the time unless someone accidentally bumps into me in that area or if i push it. its only on the nipple though, nowhere else by that area. i compared it to my other one: the right seemed soft and doesn't hurt, but my left one seems like it has a lump, that hurts when i push it. its not cancer is it, i have had it for ages please help i'm scared out of my mind.

Torn inferior glenohumeral ligament (what does this ligament do?) and synovitis (i believe this is just fluid, correct?) osseous and cartilagenous (injury of the cartilage?) chronic injury of the posterior-inferior bony glenoid (this is a joint right? and chronic means it's an old injury?) trace amount of subacromial bursal fluid (is this just fluid built up from the tear?)

A doctor prescribed Percocet, Darvocet, Valium,Nuerontin, Cymbalta among other meds to a asthmatic who became dependant on them and recently died in the hospital. Official cause of death was OD. In the hospital! How does one go about getting the answers to how this happened and if there was adequate supervision?

neck prblems. Very very painful. i have days when I can't move my neck hardly at all and some nites it wakes me up with a hot head
achy sensation running from my neck,up the back of my head.
I know i need to see doctor but I have a 2000 deduct. I use to love to go to bed and now I don't cause my neck hurts.

I'm a young female who has had constant chest pressure for over a week. I had an EKG, xrays, and blood tests that came back fine. I was given pain medication and it hasn't helped. My dr. assures me that something must have pulled in my chest (a muscle). The pain is constantly there, and is more of a presseure than a pain (as if someone is pressing down on my chest). I have tried muscle relaxers, anti-inflamatory meds, heating pads, etc. nothing works. It doesn't specifically occur when moving around or eating, for example, rather, it is there continuously. Is this a muscle that has been pulled? How long will recovery take? Any ideas?

I have major pain consitent with sciatic nerve pain (never officially diagnosed but consistent with all the symptomes). Pain is starting to ruin my life. I cant do any of the activities i formerly injoyed, If i sneeze it will bring tears to my eyes its that bad at times, I havent slept 8 continuous hours in 6 months.I have taken every otc drug, heat pack, cold pack, exercise, etc. I even taken vicodin percocet oxycodone. The only thing that relieves the pain semi-effectively is the oxycodone. I am 36 yrs old and I never taken a drug to get high in my life nor intend to sell em as I read about all the time. I dont have a "family " dr and havent been to one in over ten yrs., How do I ask a Dr. for a script without coming off as a junkee, abuser, etc. ??

Monday I ran eleven miles and I was feeling awfully tired. Then on Tuesday my legs and back were hurting. Yesterday my neck also started hurting. Today the back pain is gone, the ankles hurt just a little, but the neck pain is still there. Is this dangerous? I can tell it's muscle pain, but I'm getting worried since it won't go away and Ibuprofen or Icy Hot cream won't help.

I will be quitting my bad habit of smoking soon (got the patch ready to go, just waiting for a weekend to start so I can see how it affects me). I'm concerned about what to do with my hands... the smoking was somthing to occupy them and it really is an oral fixation. I know the basics.. walk, exercise, eat healthy and so on... however, I am looking for something that can occupy my hands while dealing with the withdrawls until my habits change.

I'm aware... use carrot sticks or celery sticks or gum, or mints and things of the like... I'm looking for other ideas

I went to Docs,and told doc of having someone Pop out under my left bra line area.He told me it's a rib,that has become loose.This is VERY PAINFUL when it happens.He told me he could do nothing about it.This happens when sitting on couch,laying in bed,doing house-hold chores,etc.Went saw another doc,took xrays.told me rib itself is ok.But maybe cartridge doesnt hold onto it,says also,nothing can be done.Going back to docs today,(getting upset at doctors).I have always,and still am working labor job,this doesnt help,but doc says its alright to do so? When this happens to me,Pain is Very Intence! Has anyone ever heard of this? This has been happening for yrs now,but in last yr or so,has become more often,and much more PainFul.
