I've been having problems lately with sleeping. I try to sleep around 12, but I end up sleeping around 4/5 and so it's been a huge problem since I wake up at 7 for school. My friend told me to take tylenol pm or anything pm, which has benzyne (which i guess makes you sleep?). I couldn't find anything but regular tylenol that is acetaminophen 500 mg. 500 seems alot, but would I be fine if i took it?

I can't find any literature on it, the little I did find indicates that it is safer than tylenol? Can anyone elaborate?

In need some advice... I have a cyst in the right hand side of my thyroid gland.... i am waiting for a date for a Thyroidectomy to have this taken out ..... however this is now starting to cause me great discomfort. Its a throbbing pain and i am getting a lot of headaches accompanied with a shooting pain through the lump and up the side of my neck. The lump itself is about the size of a golf ball and is embedded in my neck squashed next to my throat. I have had blood tests and a biopsy and also a scan... the hospital have said that it is non cancerous and that it is just a cyst. Its not fluid. Can anyone please give me some advise on how to ease the pain. :(

Is it Possible for some injuries to go undetected in a CT scan and MRI? I crushed my T6 vertebrae about 1 month ago and I have very unusual symptoms unfolding. I have been losing feeling in my left leg for about 5 seconds with out warning then it instantly comes back. Anyone have any idea of what is going on?

Thanks for your answers!

The doctor prescribed naproxen for the pain I've been experiencing with my ankle because the advil wasn't helping and tearing my stomach up. The leaflet states that one of the signs of a serious reaction is joint pain. When I asked a nurse today she treated me like I was an idiot. I know it's not going to take the pain away quickly but thing is that it varies throughout the day (largely dependent on my activity level) and I just want to make sure it's nothing to worry about. I know if I start breaking out in hives/rash, trouble breathing, etc. that needs to be addressed but what about joint pain? Was that just a misprint?

I have been taking painkillers (Vicodine) ever since my surgery 3 days ago. Since I have been taking them, I don't feel like having sex, and would probably have trouble getting it up even if I wanted to. Before I started taking them, I wanted to have sex all the time. Now I don't have much feeling in my penis. Has this happened to anyone else out there???? I'm worried about it.

I found out today that I have a cyst INSIDE my ovary. I've been in a LOT of pain, and today the doc gave me a script for Flagyl 500 MG 2x a day, and also gave meTylenol 3 + codeine (Tylenol/COD #3 30MG TABS) to take "1 to 2 tablets by mouth every 4 hours as needed for pain" --as bottle states. Ok, at the doc office they also shot me in my backside with stuff that is leaving a bitter taste in my mouth still have a pain in my a** cause of the shot. How often would it be safe to take just one, not two? Since it says I could take one OR two every few hours, I'm confused. Maybe it's just the shot, but I can't seem to figure it out... THANKS in advance!!

I just wrote a question stating that i think my uterus is contracting and i asked if this is normal. now the pain in my bladder/uterus ares is getting more intense. tight and almost like a contraction. but now i have a sharp intense stabbing pain in my back right where my kidney is on the left side. so could the pain be a stone in the bladder, and not the uterus at all? could the pain in my back be a stone? now i'm scared to go to bed. last time i fell asleep thinking i had a stone, i woke up in such severe pain that i was unable to walk! i had to have my husband assist me into the car and i cried all the way to the hospital! what do you think?

Hello, I've had a bruise in the shape of a long, narrow, two-prongred fork running down more than half the length of my left shin. It's been there for AT LEAST a month and a half and doesn't show signs of dissipating. What is happening? Is it dangerous?

My boss smokes in his office, the odor travels through out the office. Even to the non-smoking areas. Is there anything cost effective, or even a natural home remedy, that can really kill the odor?
We have used many sprays, and odor neutralizers. They don't last long. Someone told me coffee grounds/beans in the ash tray helps eliminate the odor, is this true? Any good advice will help.

I have lived my whole life with this.. curse. I have tried talking to this one eye doctor about it, and he said the only option (that he knows of) is to cut a part of the eyelid muscle out, to raise my right eyelid. BUT he said there would be a 50/50 chance that i wouldn't be able to close my right eye, EVER. Please help me, if you know anything. I am so unhappy with it, because it looks so horrible in the mirror and in pictures! If you don't know what im talking about, I am talking about my right eyelid which is quite a bit lower than my left...and it makes me look messed up 24/7.
