I often don't like to go to bed too early, and I don't really like the concept of sleep early and wake up early. In fact I really hate that concept. I always stay up playing video games and doing all sort of things. I often go to bed at about 3:00 am, is there any tips on how to go to bed at earlier time?

go ahead without any judgement. And for those people who are more bolder you can tell your stories.

My sister and I have been smoking a long time. We have both tried many things to stop. My dad just died from a lung disease and never smoked in his life. So we are finally trying hypnosis in a few weeks. Has anyone done this and had it be successful? We are not doing the hotel seminars, we are going to a certified hypnotist, one on one.. looking for all opinions out there.

I have too much stuff to do today--pick some produce up, return some DVDs before 30 days after purchase is up and get my daughter from daycare; get some treadmill time in, make dinner, etc... I don't have time to drive across town to see him today and don't really want to pay the $35.

I threw one of my discs out slightly while picking up my 2-year-old. Is there something I can do? Roll on my back like an egg? Some kind of yoga? It hurts---but not enough to warrant a visit just yet. I know I'm setting myself up for more pain tomorrow by not going --but damn! Life just has me too busy today--LOL!

I might have colon cancer. I am having a colonoscopy tomorrow and I'm really nervous and worried. I have been having a lot of bleeding. I have been doing the prep and it's coming out clear liquid and blood so I guess the prep worked? How bad will the procedure hurt? The doctor said I won't be put to sleep for the procedure and I'll be given a sedative, but no pain meds. He said I won't need them. That worries me too.

I’m going for a MRI soon & a person told me I have to wear a full helmet because of the metal fillings in my teeth. I’ve never heard of this before & don’t know how comfortable I’d be wearing a helmet. I’d rather go to the dentist & have the metal fillings taken out. Has anyone heard of this?

I ahve a pain in the balls of my feet that hurts the most when I walk or try running. I am only 13 so i dont beluev it could be arthritis. It is located right underneath my big toe and also hurts when i try to bend it upwards or down. is there a possible reason for why i have gotten this pain since i have not had a medical history with my foot. i also want to know how this happened and what is the quickest way to get rid of the pain. any help is appreciated

While sort of belly-flopping onto my bed, my leg hit the edge just below the knee. My leg was completely straight and I think it, um, "unbent" more than a leg normally unbends. I immediately thought, "shoot, that didn't mess up a tendon or something, did it?" but it didn't really hurt much, it hurt like something that's just been whacked against a semi-hard surface.

That was about 3 hours ago. Now I have this mild pain shooting down my leg every few seconds, and when I change position. It barely hurts, but it's strange. It starts about halfway down the front of my shin and gets most intense at the top of my foot. When I chang my position, sometimes I feel it at my knee, too.

I'd like to avoid going to the hospital. I want to do something to minimize the damage, whatever I can do to make it not get worse.

What do you recommend I do? Put ice on it? Put heat on it? Walk it off? Do squat exercises? Keep my leg still for a day? Take muscle relaxants? Avoid muscle relaxants?

Thanks!!

I was doing a stunt(where i'm up in the air) and i fell down and landed on my ankle. When i went to the hospital my doctor told me i had torn my tendens and my ligaments. I had also sprained my ankle. My ankle is still very swollen and it hurts. I can't point my toes and i can't jump very well. (all cheerleaders know that pointing toes and jumping is very important.) My competition is next saturday and it needs to be better by then so i can stunt, jump, and point my toes. Help me!

Well, this is what happened yesterday. I was in PE and we had to get in groups of three and do thing thing where you bounce a ball and never mind about that, about 10 minutes later I was chasing my groups ball and Justin, this weird guy in the grade above me, was running trying to catch his groups ball in the other direction and I didn't see him and we ran into each other, he went falling forward and I went falling backwards, he landed on his head I landed on my butt. He's fine, I'm not. As I said, I can't run, bend over, lean back, but I can walk and sit and talk still. How long should it take to stop hurting and what should I do about the bowling thing with my class tomarrow, and I have a dance on Friday, and I have to go to a Christmas thing that we always do late.

Since about 4 hours ago I've been having what reminds me of "growing pains" when I was little. My legs feel tired, and there's a pulsing ache that hurts a bit and is driving me crazy. It feels like I just need to stretch out my legs, but that does no good.

I'm 17 years old and I'm 6"4, so it can't be growing pains, could it?

I catch what I think is a charlie horse in the arches of my feet...It doesn't happen too often but when it did in the past, it was for a couple of minutes and now when I catch it, it only lasts for a minute. What is does is my arch of my feet turns very hard and it starts to cramp up and my toes go in different directions. Is this normal? Did you ever get this? What can be wrong with me?

I've always had trouble sleeping... probably since highschool and it got really bad when I was in college. I was averaging 0-3 hours a night and the longest I could sleep was about 5-6 hours. That was 2 years ago but I still have trouble falling asleep at night. Ususally I lay there thinking about imaginary situtations and I find myself not being able to sleep.

Does that happen to anyone else?

Sometimes if I know I have a lot of work the next day, I take tylenol PM but not for more than three nights in a roll. I've tried the sheep counting and the raising your arms above your body thing (I read somewhere about that) but they dont work for me.

Any suggestion on what I can do that doesnt involve meds, drinking warm anything before bed, or dipping myself in warm liquids?

Actually if you can relate to my problem that would be something nice to read as well. Thanks =]
