***First and foremost, call your orthopaedic surgeon and make an appointment.*** There could be something else wrong other than stiffness and muscle atrophy. Everything after this is just suggestions and thoughts....

Depending on how long ago your joint was replaced, most people benefit from stretching and physical therapy. There will be some amount of pain expected post-operatively, but it should subside over the months.

You may be making a common mistake - if you are weebling or babying your joint, you could actually be causing the pain. Make sure that when you walk, you're upright, and you move both legs exactly the same. There's no need to worry about the joint failing - it won't.

Additionally, you may benefit from water therapy (like water aerobics) to help you start moving again.

I wouldn't want to relive my pain. That sounds horrible.

Seriously, though, didn't your doctor give you some medication for pain? I'd try lots of hot baths and heat, and if your medication isn't working, call your doctor for a change of meds.

if you want to relive your pain, try having your other hip replaced, it'll probably feel the same way...

...then you can relive it all over again.

Depends on how long ago your surgery was.

I had 3 hip replacements(same hip) in one year.

Call your doctor.

You'll have to talk to your doctor about that. Hope it gets better.
