Go the the drugstore, hopefully you have a 24-hour one near you, and buy an over the counter urinary analgesic called AZO or other brands with Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride in them. It numbs your bladder pretty well and also turns your urine orange - don't be alarmed.
This is NOT a cure though - just a pain reliever. You will need to go to the doctor and be prescribed antibiotics to cure a bladder infection.
EDIT: Did you buy the wrong medicine - well, check the label and see if Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride is listed as the active ingredient. If it is, you've got the right one. AZO isn't the only brand with this ingredient. Uristat is another brand. Walgreen's has their own brand called Urinary Pain Relief Tablets. I get the Walgreen's brand because it's the same ingredient, but it's cheaper than AZO.
Yeast infection meds won't help a bladder infection.

I feel for you and no there is nothing over the counter that will help! However there is some kind of herbal remedy that will keep it from burning. I would try a Health foods store in the moring. Please remember just because your burning goes away does not meant that the problem is solved! You will have to go to the doctor for antibiotics if not you will run the risk of getting a Kidney infection! And trust me those are not fun! Also stop drinking anything carbinated lots of water! Also AZO is a cranberry tablet that you can take once the infectionis gone and that should help from getting further infections! And as my mother always tells me also pee before and after sex, cotton lined undies, no overly tight pants, and wipe from front to back!! Sorry she is an OBGYN in ATL so I hear this all the time!!! GOOD LUCK!! :)

AZO, AZO, AZO. It's over the counter and it works WONDERS. You'll be able to relax and sleep tonight and be able to deal with it until you see a doctor for antibiotics. I used it and it's wonderful!! It is NOT a cure even though it feels like one. You NEED the antibiotics or the infection WILL spread to your kidneys and you will be in deep trouble!
*I started getting the chills, sweats, fever and lower back pain when it spread to my kidneys. Eventually I started running a fever and getting delusional every 20-30 minutes (also at work!) By that point I went to the emergency room because I couldn't really stand up straight anymore and I thought I was dying. The doctor said something about how if I had waited any longer I would have gotten abcesses on my kidneys, etc. and needed surgery. Don't wait much longer!!!!!!!! You are obviously way past the 'just drink cranberry juice' stage!

Do not take yeast infection treatments for a bladder infection. It will upset the balance of your *area* and you will just end up with more problems. You are right, cranberry juice is great. However, make sure you are getting a realy juice drink and not a cranberry juice cocktail. Those are mostly sugar. There are over the counter meds that help bladder infections. Most of them contain cranberry extract. You can find them in the vitamin aisle at the drug store. Also, drink tons and tons of water. Drink so much that you feel bloated. It will help flush out the infection. You never have to take antibiotics for a bladder infection. Natural is the best way to go, because antibiotics can cause yeast infections and then you just have a whole new set of problems.

A bladder infection is serious stuff, but you don't need to sit around in pain until you can get to the doctor. Go get some URISTAT. It is a pain medication specifically for bladder pain. It's over the counter and it will help so you can sleep tonight but make sure you go to the doctor tomorrow morning. A bladder infection untreated can quickly turn into a kidney infection which can kill you. Drink a lot of water (that helps with the pain too) and the Uristat will turn your urine orange so the doctor won't be able to do a rapid test for your bladder infection but they'll probably start you on antibiotics and then send the sample for a culture. Don't suffer, but don't let it go either.

In the feminine hyigene aisle check out the products that they have for bladder infections. AZO helps, but it does turn your pee bright orange, so don't panic. Also get the cranberry pills made by the same company and take those. Drink plenty of water and juice to keep your kidneys and bladder flushed. The yeast infection one won't hurt you, its all natural herbs, but it won't do you much good for a bladder infection.

I had two UTI (one with each pregnancy). First, if you haven't already, go to the doctor and make sure that's what you have. If it is, the best thing is to get a prescription. One for an antibiotic and the other for the pain. Drink LOTS of fluids, but not sugary stuff or alcohol. If you take the meds, it should clear up in a couple of days. Son't mess around with this. If it is a bladder infection and it's not treated properly, it can cause a more serious medical problem as the bacteria travels up the urethra and uterers and into your kidneys. Please, seek medical help. I know it hurts, but still try to pee. Best of luck.

Sis, I know how painful it is because I had it too once in a while. My remedy is a no medications technique.First drink a cold water then take a bowl of water put some ice cubes, to cool it, then take a clean face towel soak it and squeeze the extra water and then lay down on your bed and put it on top of your bladder area. Of course lower your undies a little to avoid getting wet.The cold towel will absorb the heat from your bladder while cooling your bladder down. If the towel get warm soak it again and again. Keep repeating the process. It's cold but it will relieve you in no time. It'll take from 5 minutes to 20 minutes tops. Also keep draining your bladder too in the washroom. Maybe three good drains and you'll be ok.
I'll guarantee this remedy works.
If this is related to your period then this technique might not work. Try it anyway it might give you a relief.

azo is what the stuff is called but it is NOT a cure-just temporary relief. you can also try drinking cranberry juice-it will help relieve the stinging when urinating.
bladder infections can quickly spread to your kidneys, causing them to become infected which usually results in hospitalization. so make sure to see your dr within 24 hours to get antibiotics to treat it.
report to the er if you have the following symptoms
-you have a fever of 100.5 or higher
-you have blood in your urine (this ranges for tinted pink to bright red)
-you have lower back pain (can be a dull ache or severe stabbing pain on both sides of your lower back where your kidneys are located)
-you have nausea or are vomiting
these are all symptoms of a kidney infection and you'll need to be seen asap.
ADDITIONAL INFO
after reading your added notes-you need to report to the er-if you think you've been running a fever-your kidneys could already be affected. this is serious-the kidneys COULD shut down in severe cases.

I would get some motrin and drink some cranberry juice until you can get into the doc to get some meds. The doc will have some meds that can clear up the bladder infection and so that it will not hurt so much while it goes away. I have a daughter that has had chronic badder infections and this is what we did and it seemed to help until we got in to see the doc.
