Has anyone out there had '''NECK FUSION SURGERY?'''
If you've had it, could you please describe the pain that follows afterward?? I'm having it done next Wednesday on my C6 & C7 discs.

I had c6 fused to c7. Pain tin the neck only last 2-3 weeks. They took a bone from my hip for the fusion. My hip took almost 1 year to heal. Be aware once this is done you will have disc in that area rupture. Scare tissue grows & can be painful. Pain is not unbearable. They will give U pain killers. If they give U hydrocdone ask for Roxy cotin. They R both break through pain killers, the rc is better of the 2. For long lasting pain relief morphine ms is the least expensive of any of them & works well. Now Ur looking at something else. Pain Mangement is going to B an option that U will have to address in the future. I hope this helps U. If U want to contact me I'll B glad 2 tell U more. Good luck.

Go to this website, as different people discuss what happened to them after the surgery. It is interesting to read and will sooth your anxiety about the surgery because there are other people who have experienced it.
