My son brushes his teeth great, doesnt swallow too much toothpaste, but when we try to rinse, i got him the little dixie cups, and put just a lil bit of water in it, and he will swish it around, but then always swallows. He uses kids toothpaste, so i know its not that dangerous, but i still dont want him swallowing it. Ive tried making games of it, using the drain as a bullseye for him to spit in, etc, but he still swallows it. I dont think he can really help it, i think its just a natural reflex for him, but any ideas on how to help him to spit it out? He is 4, almost 5. Thanks!

what is the average cost of braces in Chicago?

I had 3 fillings done (upper/lower right) and some sort of deep cleaning to break up "wings" attached to my teeth below the gums, which I was advised leads to periodontal disease. The cleaning, which was covered by insurance but cost close to $600, took under 10 minutes. After the cleaning, they did a dental irrigation, which as near as I could tell consisted of squirting 2 syringes full of some form of disinfectant along the gum line, took less than 20 seconds, cost me $120. The irrigation was completely out of pocket - insurance covered $0 - which leads me to believe that it's some form of scam, or at the least was unnecessary.

Can anyone tell me if I got... I don't want to say ripped off, but perhaps misled as to the importance of this procedure?

There has been this creepy guy standing outside of my front door for the last three days, and he won't let me leave. On top of that, I just ran out of toothpaste. Is there anything else I can use to brush my teeth until I'm able to figure out a way to sneak out?

every 4-6 hrs. Plus hydrocondon APA 7.5-500.
He is a big guy (6'4 and 315 lbs) without serious illnesses or surgeries. So far it's been about 38 hours, but his improvement is slow and he still feels pain. His pain seemed to be localized, but after 30 hrs it spread to the surrounding gum and cheek, is this a good sign?
WHEN WILL THIS ANTIBIOTIC "KICK IN" TO EASE HIS PAIN ? ALSO WHAT ELSE CAN HE DO TO CALM THE PAIN UNTIL HE CAN GET IT PULLED OUT.

I don't want dr. oogle, because they only give you the 5 star ratings and the 1 stars you have to pay for it. I had a horrible experience with my dentist in rockford michigan and I need to get reviews before I see another one.

It is growing in perpendicular to the way it should be (ie: | in lieu of -- ). We already know she will need braces but this new development kind of worried me. She regularily sees a dentist but in the last 6 months lots of teeth of fallen out/grown in.

A reply from a dental care professional would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

This person can not afford dental insurance and can not pay for the dentist to do the work they need done on their mouth. There's no way to get it done? That's it? Say bye bye to painfree mouth because person is alone and can't afford it?

Info:

Had my upper left wisdom tooth removed 430 Tuesday, right now it's almost 3:00 Thursday.
-first day I had some pain but it subsided with advil, wasn't told not to use a straw so i went ahead and did so but i was still biting on the gauze when i was sucking through the straw
-now today i ate a sandwich and immediately after i had some throbbing pain and jaw pain, also my gum and extraction site feel a little swelled as if they are touching my cheek
-i also experienced some blood in my saliva this morning. is this normal still?
-other than the straw incident i followed all instructions and have been rinsing with warm saltwater as often as i can even after eating.
-could this be dry socket or is it still normal to have this throbbing pain after less than 48 hours?

I phoned the dentist and was told it was normal and to contact him tomorrow if it has not abated. It has not. Why is this and what can the dentist do about it? The pain is nearly as bad as the abcess that brought about this treatment in the first place.

Okay, so one of my closest friends has said that my breath has smelled a little bit before, but it usually dosen't smell. Okay well, I've had so many people now who I can just tell from their body language smell my breath. Like this one time, I had to share this booklet with somebody and we had to sing, and she was literally begging the choir instructor to have another book so we didn't have to share, but then again some other people were asking the same thing. I'm terrified to even go out on a date becuase of it... I mean I have great dental hygene. I brush, flosh, scrpae my tongue, and I use mouthwash twice a day. Its not like anyones flat out told me, "hey your breath stinks" well not really at least... one time this guy that I know talked to me and than later when I looked at him he started singing this song about a pretty girl with "stanky breath". But he was singing it to veery girl. Am I just thinking about this way too much, or what? Please tell me, thanks!
