I am 18 years old and within the past two days I noticed something different in my mouth and noticed that in the rear of my mouth (the top left side), at the very farthest area, I am starting to grow an extra tooth... at least I think it is. I can't see it, but it is something that feels very small right now, and it is affecting the way I chew and when I touch it with my tongue, it is sore. What is going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

i had my wisdom teeth out 2 years ago and they were all impacted and infected. now one of my gums in the area where my wisdom tooth would be is really swollen. the whole side of my face hurts and at times feels swollen. i can hardly chew and it hurts to open or close my mouth too much. could this be something to do with my wisdom teeth or is it a whole different problem? im worried they may have missed a little piece of tooth during the extractions but would it wait this long to have a real problem like this?

The pain when i bit really hard just started to bug me. Since i have braces i really ignore the pains.
At the front of my premolar, not the top of the tooth, there is this pen size spot that is WHITE. its right on top of where the gums are, i tried brushing it because i thought it was something stuck there, but it didnt come off so it is part of my tooth. I heard that your tooth can repair itself, so does this white speck mean its repairing itself or something else, or is it really a cavity, since i have braces and my teeth are moving i could have not brushed that part carefully enough.

Will removal of one wisdom tooth cause my perfectly aligned teeth to shift and space at age 37? I had four molars removed for braces at age 12 and was told to keep the wisdom teeth to prevent spacing. I do use them to chew and have never had any problems. This top wisdom tooth does have contact with the wisdom tooth below. I now need a root canal ($3000) or tooth removal ($1200). Suggestions?

i got root canal done my two front tooth 4 days ago as i am getting cosmectic correction (i have very healthy teeth, no decay whatsoever) done on them this friday. the whole procedure was painless. however i noticed that now when i tap my two front teeth even lightly, i'll get a sort of ache akin to biting into an ice cream with sensitive teeth. is this normal? or is it a sign of infection? thanks!

My jaw pops every time I open my mouth. & this has been going on since my teenage years. I told my orthodontist about it, but she said my jaw popping had nothing to do with TMJ, & also when I experience anxiety, my teeth grind. & my mouth gets tired easily when I chew gum.

I swallowed a bracket on accident... lol. Brackets are small, so it wont do any damage, right?

My mom has an ulcer on the gums. It bleeds and her cheeks are swollen. The ulcer is about 1/2 inch in diameter. She has been taking off a few days from work and just saw the doctor today. Is removing the pus a good idea? She has been very stressed recently and lost a lot of sleep. Could these be the causes? What types of treatment are available? Thank you.

So I'm somewhat concerned about the dentist I just started going to, I went due to an emergency and he was the only person I could get into right away. Yesterday at my check-up he told me "that he doesn't like the looks of my wisdom teeth" and he wants to remove the remaining 3 teeth. I am 29, have had no problems with these teeth and I wasn't show my x-rays to see if they were impacted or not.
This guy is licensed to perform general dentistry only, but he wants to remove them himself, in his office on two seperate occasions. Is this normal practice, from what I hear this is not a procedure I want done using Novocaine.
Thanks!

It is a hard bump that is immovable and it is on my left side of my jaw line...it feels like it is connected to the bone. Is it part of my bone? It's not on my other side or anyone i ask doesn't have it. Its like about where my last molar is but below it...on the bone i think. Could it have something to do with that i got my wisdom teeth out in December?
