I am 18 years old and within the past two days I noticed something different in my mouth and noticed that in the rear of my mouth (the top left side), at the very farthest area, I am starting to grow an extra tooth... at least I think it is. I can't see it, but it is something that feels very small right now, and it is affecting the way I chew and when I touch it with my tongue, it is sore. What is going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

well it seems to be your wisdom tooth errupting as you said its sore than you can rinse with lukewarm water and salt it will be helpful and can apply analgesic gel over the area.if there is enough space for it to errupt than its allright but if its lacking than better consult your dentist as it might be impacted.

These are known as your 'wisdom teeth'. Some adults get them some don't. Some get 1, some 2 , some four. I have one. It's fine, nothing is wrong with you. The only thing is , sometimes these teeth can cause over crowding in your mouth and may have to be removed. I only have one and have never had any problem with it. It does take a while to get used to it. Sometimes it may only grow through halfway too. But if it is giving you pain or irritation then contact your dentist.

Some people do get an extra tooth. This is called a supernumerary tooth. It was not anything you did, it;s just genetics. Go to a dentist and have them look at it, they will be able to recommend the best solution for you.
Or it could just be your wisdom tooth coming in. Either way, both could effect you negativly so it best to go check it out one day.

u should aproach a dentist ... if the dnetist say that ur tooth is impacted ... it is most recommend to pulled it out or go for oral surgery to removed it .. the surgery can be done under local or general anes ... local is jus it will inject ur gum to numb it before surgery start ... general is put u to sleep and start .. better chose general and it more expensive ... and if u chose local .. u will feel uncomtable cuz it need to cut ur gum and section the tooth .. mean chisel ur tooth into half .. and use a pluk or pull out .. terrible
I'm 16 yrs old now and i will be going for general anes surgery in october to remove my 4 wisdom tooth ...

I believe this is your third molar or wisdom tooth. They usually erupt in when you are 18-20 years old.

Hey buddy same pinch, it happnd for me in the same age... You knw wat ur skil and efficiency is developin, lol... Taz how al tel when u get ur wisdom tooth... Dnt scare of the pain, try taking some anticpt for that... or use clove at home... check with mom yar.... Take care...

i think you might be part shark........or its a wisdom tooth,mine grew in when i was 20 and i had to have them yanked,but good news,if they grow in straight you can keep them but if they grow in crooked they will push the rest of your teeth out of line,thats why they pull them
