I need serious dental work done. I live in Newark, NJ and I am 22 years old. I work full time & am a single mother. I really can't afford the work on my own so I am willing to do extra work like cleaning your house, grocery shopping or filing or whatever along those means. I preferred to get emailed at luvhurtz27@tmail.com but leaving answers on here is also appreciated. THANK YOU SO MUCH ~Melissa~

This is more of a monetary concern; the dentist was suggesting I get a root canal over a year ago but I kept going back with no problems, and there wasn't any pain. I lost my job, relocated and am just now getting around to seeing the dentist again. This time I do have pain and I'm taking 800 mg Ibuprofen for the pain, but they suggested I go to someone else for the root canal, and then back to them for the crown. Between the two I am out of pocket a full grand, and the insurance covers the rest. Then again I can get an extraction for like $50 out of pocket, which is tempting, but they claim since the extraction is on the bottom the top tooth will want to fall out of place as there's nothing to hold it up. I'm still considering the extraction, and I'll worry about that other tooth later - a grand is like 1 1/2 of my checks it takes 3 weeks to save that. Plus that is assuming that I do not pay my bills in the interim ... If I had more time to play with, I would.

I have 2 crooked fron teeth and it really knocks my confidence, I dont think i would be able to have train track braces eithere, as id feels worse.

Is there anything else I can have done? and how much does it normally cost?

when I brush in the morning and just the sensodyne at night?

I don't really like the Sensodyne it doesn't froth up like Aquafresh does and I don't really feel as though my mouth is as clean as when I used to use Aquafresh all the time, but I don't want to undo any good that the Sensodyne has produces by going back to the Aquafresh. If I brushed with one at night and the other in the morning will it still ruin the good done? Or will it not matter at all?

I got my teeth cleaned about 7 hours ago, and now I feel like throwing up,and my head is pounding and I'm dizzy. The dentist used fluoride and sealant material, and something else I'm not sure of for dermabrasion.

Is this normal? I'm worried that I swallowed something, cause I don't think my mouth was rinsed well enough.
I'm scared I have fluoride poisoning.

Should I go to the ER???? Someone please help me out.

Thank you

Idk if im stressing this too much but I grind my teeth a lot and it doesnt hurt immidiatly after I grind my teeth, but It occasionally throbs. It doesnt hurt when I eat / drink anything sweet.

It hurts more in the jaw area below it, but It hurts the tooth sometimes too.

About a year and a half ago, I had an upper back molar extracted under general anesthesia. Within a week or so, I had swelling and a line of canker sores on the inside of my cheek where I assumed a local anesthesia had been injected. The swelling in that area never went completely away. I finally went back to the oral surgeon a few months ago and he said he couldn't feel anything unusual. When I press my tongue on that area of my cheek I feel a spongy mass - it almost feels like my cheek has grown attached to my gum in that area. The mass has gotten smaller but has never gone completely away. I still get canker sores there from time to time, so high up I know it's not caused by biting my cheek. When I fill my cheeks full of air there is still a pulling sensation in that area, and it still hurts - not excruciating pain, but a definite soreness on stretching it. Could trauma from the injections or the extraction itself have caused painful scar tissue to develop in this area?

I am a 23 year old soldier based in NY and Im considering dentures. Ive recently had 7 mercury fillings removed due to allergic reactions, "go figure" and my teeth are really ate up and my bite is horribly off and my teeth still hurt. Should I go ahead and just have them removed and will it effect my running and exercising, training, ETC and how? and what should I expect?

I had a root canal, then the dentist informs me I need a cap.
I didn't realize they grind the tooth down SO much in order to place the cap on. Well, my cap kept falling off, so I said to myself, forget it. So now I've gone about 5 months w/ this bare, ground down tooth. What is going to happen? Will the tooth get cavities? Will it crumble? Will I need to get it pulled? I'm embarrassed to go back to the dentist. HELP!

There's nothing physiologically wrong with having gapped teeth; it actually keeps your teeth cleaner. However, in today's Hollywood-obsessed society, perfectly spaced blazing white teeth are the norm, and orthodontists and cosmetic dentists are making a killing. Unfortunately, a kid whose parents can't afford braces is now ridiculed much more than the "braceface" of the past.

What do you think when you see someone with gapped teeth?
What does this say about this person?
Do you think they should they get their teeth fixed?

A couple of years ago I went to an oral surgeon to have 2 teeth pulled.
I was given medicine through an IV and I was completley gone.
When I woke up I was crying.
Was I given general anesthesia?
Or was I given something else?
I don't think it was general anesthesia because I thought that could only be used in a hospital.
I was fine when I woke up.
I am just curious about what I was given.

I have been having pain in my bottom front teeth for about a month or two now. I thought it might be from my wisdom teeth pushing my other teeth. So I had a consultation with the oral surgeon and when I asked him about the pain i've been having in my bottom front teeth he said it was unlikely that it was from my wisdom teeth and that i should consult my dentist. I made an appt but that isn't until august 6th.

If it isn't my wisdom teeth what else could be causing this pain in my bottom front teeth?

The point of the frenectomy is to minimize the gap between two front teeth.
