Ive been reading that it works-thats great.
but I need to know details on it.

how long do I brush?
how often a week?-how long for results?

or is this just flat out dangerous to my mouth?

I have tried the crest strips.
Im not a fan-they make me feel like I'm going to gag.

So if baking soda and hydrogen peroxide is bad is there anything else I can do besides sucking it up and using the crest strips?

Baking soda and peroxide have NEVER been shown to do anything for your teeth clinically. A baking soda and peroxide toothpaste is not going to whiten your teeth. Some people like the taste of these toothpastes and if that is why you are using them then great. But these two compounds have not been shown to do anything special.
If you are applying these compounds to your teeth and not using a preformulated toothpaste...DON'T. Baking soda would be somewhat abrasive and that means you would be removing enamel from your teeth. Peroxide is cytotoxic, it kills live cells. Dentists go to great lengths to keep peroxide off of your gums for this reason. So why would you want to put it on your gums.

um I dont know what other people have said but baking soda is abrasive and hydrogeine peroxide is dangerous if you swallow it but you can use it together to brush your teeth. try this put a small amount of baking soda in a bowl add maybe a teaspoon of peroxide and mix it until its kinda pasty get some on your toothbrush and brush like you usually do. For results maybe do it for a week and then see if there is any change.

I use a mouthwash made by Listerine and I use it twice a day before I brush. It's a whitening pre-brush rinse. It has peroxide in it which whitens my teeth. It might take a little bit longer but if you use it consistently, you will see results.

I use a baking soda and peroxide toothpaste--Arm&Hammer makes a good one.
After brushing I rinse with peroxide (once or twice a week) like you would rinse with a mouthwash.

There's usually that stuff in toothpaste, so I guess it's fine.
