I have no health insurance and cannot afford to see a dentist. I brush my teeth every day and have tried using Listerine, but that doesn't seem to help. Any inexpensive ideas would be truly appreciated.

Im going to the dentists today.

If it is infected, can he take it out there and then or will I have to go on anti-biotics first for a few days before he can take it out.

Dont think I can live like this for 2 or 3 more days and I have no good painkillers left.....

I really hope that somebody can help me with this today. 4 weeks ago i went to the dentist and i had a filling on a upper tooth on my right side. The day after my filling i started to get severe pain in the left hand side of mouth. This pain has progressed throughout the left side of my face and now i feel very severe pain in my left temple, left ear and throughout my left jaw and part of my throat. Can somebody please tell me if they have ever experience similar symptoms and if so what the treated was. Im at my witts end now and in constantly in pain.

Thanks!

I had to have a temporary cap placed on my tooth, while I await for the permanent cap to come in. They said that when they drilled the rotten tooth down, they could see the pink of the nerve. That it wasn't exposed, but they could see it. They told me if I were to be in a lot of pain, then I'd know I'd need a root canal done. They said there was a 50/50 chance I'd need a root canal. They said I may have a little sensitivity to cold, etc, that would be normal. It hasn't really bothered me, EXCEPT, when I go to eat something & the food presses down on that temp cap, it's like I can feel the nerve being pressured. I've tried to avoid eating on this tooth, especially crunchy or sticky things, as I was told. But if I'm eating a sandwich or something & bite down, I feel the pressure & it's unfomfortable. Just sitting here, I feel nothing. Am I only feeling this cuz it's a temporary cap & it will go away when I get the permanent cap put on or does this mean I need a root canal? .

My gums look swollen, red, and when I brush I sometimes see blood. I got my braces off a few months ago and when I had them I never flossed. Now I brush 2 times a day, and try to floss every day. I visit the dentist regularly, but I haven't been there since I got my braces off. Do you think they would have told me if I had gingivitis then?

Do you think I could have it? How do I stop it w/out going to the dentist right away?

I am thinking of getting veneers done, I am really excited about the possiblility but I have no idea what it will be like. If you have had this done, I want to know your experiance, if it hurt, if you had complications, or what you hate about having veneers, it's odvious what the pro's are, thanks in advance!

I want cosmetic dentistry done and have narrowed it down to these two options. I want to know if you like the results or not? What is the price you paid and which one worked best for you? Also any negative experience shared would be helpful as well. Thanks!

What's the exact office procedure once I am in the chair?
What type of painkiller should I use?
Will I feel any pain while my tooth is being extracted?
what about pain afterwards?
How long does the whole procedure take?
What's the healing time?

ok, I cracked my tooth tonight.. it's my far back tooth on the top right side. HURTS sooooooo bad. It's not cracked all the way through, (i did it on a bit o honey.. god they are so good!!) anyway, There's no roots or nerves hanging out, and like i said it's not cracked fully through. I HATE dentists... everyone of them has been mean and caused me a lot of pain and not seemed to have a care in the world about it. I wanna know from any of you that have cracked a tooth before if it was extracted or if it was able to have a cap put on it??
