Dental - March 2007

I'm fifteen years old and my teeth are pretty much fine except in the back 2 of my teeth don't touch the top ones and they've been hurting a lot lately, is it possible that they could still be growing upwards or are my teeth all done growing?

My daughter had a problem with eating candy.... now she has "fairly" yellow teeth. We went to the dentist and he prescribed a very disgusting toothpaste... any good whitening toothpastes for children? She has used the whitening toothpastes on tv... but they really dont work on her... Any comments/answers? :(

I got my top brackets on saturday and my spacers but they didnt put on my bottom ones or my wire does anyone know how long this usually takes? Also I need a bite plate is this holding up the process and how long does this take? My ortho was telling me this stuff but I can't remember what he told me because I had 5 fillings right before they placed on my brackets and I was very drugged up. also I know you arent suppose to drink soda but I forgot and accidently did. Does anyone know if my brackets will fall off? or do I have to drink alot of soda?

Should I be worried. I still cant chew or anything and its been seven days. I still have my stiches in too. Im not in any pain now, they were four impacted teeth. STill a little bit swollen Shouldnt I be doing better? if not when

My 8 year old daughter came home from school today and I couldn't bare the smell of her. She had her bath last night like she always does yet she smelled like a sewer. I checked her shoes and everything. I discovered that the overwhelming smell was coming from her mouth. I was in the bathroom this morning when she brushed her teeth and then after I discovered the horrible smell coming from her mouth I went into the bathroom with her and brushed her teeth and tongue myself. She thought it was funny. I realized that I could be making her feel bad so I made light of the situation but I just sat next to her on the couch and her breath is as bad if not worse then when she got home. What could be causing her breath to smell like a sewer? I'm truly concerned. Thanks for decent answers. I know this sounds like a joke but this is a serious matter. Thanks again!

I get very frequent canker sores...and when I get them it is absolutely dreadful to brush my teeth, it hurts like crazy because I accidentally bump them or brush them. I use the Rembrandt Canker Sore tooth paste. I still want to make sure my teeth/mouth are clean and healthy even when I have canker sores. Does anyone know of a mouth wash that will not cause nor aggravate canker sore?
Also, has anyone tried the Apthasol medication for these sores, if so did it work as they say?

i just got my braces off today and my teeth are shorta yellow (not much) and i have some yellow spots on my two front teeth. how can i get rid of the spots and make my teeth whiter? do the whiting strips really work?

When I brush my teeth he wants his tooth brush, but when I give it to him he chews on it or brushs his tounge, I try to show him the right way but he won't do it. Is he too young to brush them? When I try to brush them he bites down on the tooth brush and I got the one that goes on the finger but he also bites my finger. Should I just wait until he is older? If not how should I brush his teeth? Isn't it bad for him not to brush his teeth? HELP...............

I've had a headache for about 3 days now, my left side of my mouth hurts really bad and I have two wisdeom teeth coming through (one on top one on bottom) I have no dental insurance and no way to come up with any money. Could I go to the hopsital emergency room and get a prescription for an infection? I really dont know what to go :( it really hurts, and im only 19, and no noone in my family is going to help pay. My wisdom teeth on my left side of my mouth have came in. I can feel the top side is in and the bottom the whole thing is coming through. My jaw is really sore and I can barelly open my mouth up and just touching it and touching my neck hurts. I was just wondering if this is normal for when the teeth are breaking through the gum or what. I have no dental insurance and I have no way to have it taken out. Idk what to do but im in alot of pain. My husband gets paid wed.. but only 300 dollars and I have to pay my car insurance or else its getting off. any advice please?? its not dangerous to just put up with the pain is it? my teeth are not shifting , or atleast i cant feel they are. I also can feel a little hole on my upper left cheeck, Coudl it just be a sore or what? plz help

Why do my gums bleed when I brush my teeth? I am using a soft bristled toothbrush and I do not push that hard while brushing. They do not bleed alot just a little but enough for it to be irritating to me! If anyone knows why please let me know! Thanks

Dentist did a root canal but missed a root. He kept telling me the pain was natural and to keep waiting. Then after 6mo said I should see a peridontist about gum loss. Then sends me to Ondontist after saying i will lose the crown he did 9mo ago because of decay. Ondontist tells me he never completed the root canal and that was what made me unable to eat on that side of my mouth, etc, etc. I call to confirm with him whaat the Ondontist says and his office says that it is not his fault...

I am supposed to attempt a settlement through arbitration first. Do I have a case. It has really sucked bad for the last year because of this. I would like all my deductable back for the rootcanal and the crown since it had to be destroyed when the ondontist re did the root canal and finished the procedure. Also oi want to seek compensation for the stress and the considerable discomfort and steady pain and inability to eat anything on the right side of my mouth for over a year???

One of my teeth is occasionally blooding, sometimes even when I am touching them lightly with tounge. However, there's no obvious pain from it and it had not caught problems before.

Anything I can do to stop this? Does it work washing mouth with salt water?

I have blue cross blue sheild, but cant get an appointment till next week. I two of them need pulled. My insurance makes me pay 20% over my deductable. So dose anyone have a clue on how much it would cost?
