it depends on a lot of different things. For one thing, depending on where you are located (major city vs. a rural area), a crown can cost anywhere from $500-2500. Also, it may depend upon what type of crown is being made and whether you need a post in the tooth etc.

It cost me over 500 bucks, and I have insurance. Not only that, I found out later there was decay in the tooth 6 months prior, and the crown could have been avoided by a filling.

And I thought my dentist was charging a lot for two crowns! $500-$2500 dollars seems really exorbitant, but then again I have good insurance and don't live in a major city.
