It's normal to have pre-op bleeding after have teeth extracted.
You will have a blood clot sitting in the tooth's socket and if you drink anything hot, lie down, rinse to vigorously or even smoke you can upset the clot and encourage it to bleed!
If the dentist/dental nurse have given you some bite packs, bite down on one of these, if not try using wet kitchen towel to bite on, avoid using anything like cotton wool as this will get stuck in the hole and can be very messy!
It's worth remembering that the blood will mix with the saliva and this can make it seem a lot worse than it actually is.
If the bleeding is still continuing 2moro call your dentist and make an appointment.

Absolutely, I had all 4 taken out a few years back. Think they did a bodged job personally. The right side of my jaw swelled so much i looked like a freak, people were staring at me. The boyfriend thought it was highly funny. Git!.I bleed for quite a while, but it's normal...Oh I remember being told before i left the hospital to rinse my mouth with salty water, apparently it helps with the germs. Enjoy

I'd say it's normal it only takes a little blood mixed with your spit to make it look like there is a lot, it's like if you cut your finger and run it under the tap you think there is lots but there's not.

Of course it's normal. It's only been 4 hours. Don't spit just to spit. Change the gauze in your mouth. Any questions, call the dentist/oral surgeon.

That is totally normal. It's sounds more like it's jut oozing and it's mixing with your saliva so it looks like it bleeding. If you feel like it's still bleeding then wet a tea bag and bite on it for 30 mins. The tatic acid in the tea will help to stop the bleeding.

it is not unusual to have a small amount of blood from the socket site for the first one or two days. So when you will see there will be a trace amount of blood in what you expectorate for the next day . Try not to rinse for the first 24 hours

Yeah, you also might want to increase your vitamin K intake to improve natural blood clotting. Don't over do it, but take some in pill form or find natural sources if you can eat.

This is perfectly normal you have to allow plenty of time for them to heal and keep sleusing your mouth out gently after you have eaten, as they can become prone to infection really easily.
