Or are they only for certain people?
And how much do they cost compared to regular braces?

NO

YOU CAN ONLY DO MINOR TOOTH MOVEMENTS WITH INVISALIGN...BRACES ARE STILL THE BEST!

I am Orthodontist and can probably help you with this question. Invisalign is a great alternative to braces. However, it will never replace traditional braces. If you just want the teeth to straight it will work but I have better control with braces and the results are lot more optimal. I don't know where you live but in my Northern California practice, I charge $5230 for full treatment. There is no difference between traditional brace or Invisalign. Whatever you decide, seek treatment from an Orthodontist and not a general dentist certified in Invisalign. For more information, go to Invisalign.com or grandhiorthodontics.com. Hope That helps. Thank you

i had braces at 30 yrs. old, and my retainer was basically like invisaligns.....i cant help you on how much it cost, and im sure in rare instances they may not be for everyone. but I can tell you this, if I had invisaligns when I had my braces-they would have been out of my mouth more than in-its hard to keep a foreign object in your mouth!

I would have to disagree on 1 point with the Orthodontist. I believe there is a huge difference between Invisalign and conventional orthodontics, in the sense of aesthetics. After all, that's the whole point of invisalign, so that others can not notice.

I guess they're for rich people. I had to have the old fashioned train tracks. With head gear. And glasses. Poor me!
