I am missing one tooth in the side of my mouth and was considering having an implant until I heard the co-pay with my insurance is $2400. Are bridges a lot cheaper?

I am 13 and I brush my teeth EVERYDAY, TWICE a day. Please Help!!! I have no idea what is wrong! I noticed up close int eh mirror today after brushing my teeth that the gums below my side molars are receding! I am also done losing teeth, so that couldn't be a cause. Could it be from tongue kissing? Just a thought. I don't know how they would relate, though. Please Help!!!!!!! I don't wanna be toothless by the time i'm 14!

In Feb, I'd a lump on the gum near an upper tooth (incisor or canine) which has a cavity at the gumline, probably due to trauma. There was no pain. The lump was there for about 2 weeks before I went to see my dentist. As there was an infection, my dentist gave me some antibiotics for about 4 to 5 days. The infection was gone after 10 to 14 days. I'm considering to have it root-canaled and place with a crown (instead of extracting it and replaced with a denture). If possible, I would like to save the tooth.
Can I get this abcessed tooth root canaled and place with a crown?? Since it is an abcessed tooth, I'm worried that if there will be any problem after the root-canal or after it is crowned??
Please kindly advise. Thank you in advance.

That is the claim made by trident gum. Is this also true for other brands?

I'm asking this because there is a tooth I've been in agony on-and-off with for a while.
I've tried to have it taken out 3 times - once with my regular dentist, twice with 2 emergency dentists.

Each time I am numbed up with the injection, however, when it comes to testing if its numb, banging on the tooth, etc, it hurts really bad.
Each time after that the dentist has sent me home with a course of antibiotics - twice metrodiaznol or whatever, once amoxycillen.
I take the course, tooth goes fine for a while and then it comes back.

Its a bad tooth - more than half is gone and I'm on my 3rd temporary filling.

So I'm asking, is there any other way of getting the tooth out on the NHS.

As it seems its going to be the same thing everytime I try to get it out. I dont think theres enough of the tooth left to get a regular filling.

My next dentist appointment isnt until Mid-April.

I have had tooth out before, without pain so its not as though I'm scared to get it out.

I went to a bad dentist and got veneers. I didn't know a dentist would do such a thing, but while I was numbed and trusting, he proceeded to grind my healthy teeth down to half size, and now I have veneers on deep dentin. They're horrible. Well, my question is, even though I floss twice a day and brush immediately after eating, will I probably lose my teeth early? Thanks!

I am having to have several teeth pulled, including my four wisdom teeth. Several of the teeth have become impacted. Will my medical insurance (Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Minnesota) cover any of this or is this something that only dental insurance covers?

I am entering college and want to later on go to dental school. however, i have thought recently that perhaps there are too many dentists and it might be hard to work as one. I do know that i would eventually want to work or practice in a metropolitan (big) city area and would probably meet a lot of competition. is there a lot of competition in dentistry where there are too many dentists and not enough patients, especially in urban environments?

I have to go to the dentist 1 week from tomorrow, over spring break. Iam extremely scared of the dentist/ the tools they use etc. at the office. It hurts so much, even talking about it right now hurts. The mention of being forced to the dentist makes me cry. My parents are making me go, so I need some way to get out of it. I'm just having my teeth cleaned, but to me, it feels like a root canal, without the shot stuff. Is there anyway I can get out of it? iam not yet a minor, but can I take valium or something else before it to keep me pain free? Can they totally knock me out before hand, with the anesthetic they use in surguery?? You can ask any of my past dentists, iam NOT an easy patient!

I am getting Two wisdom teeth removed tomorrow. I am REALLY nervous! All I am getting is novacain and Nitrous oxide (laughing gas). All the people on here that said it was easy, were put to sleep. Anyone had their teeth removed with laughing gas? Do you feel relaxed. I'll tell you right now I am about to freak out!

I have recently discovered that there is a toothbrush tree that cleans your teeth better than a store bought toothbrush. It comes equipped with its own toothpaste and a mild antibiotic which prohibits bacteria. It naturally promotes good dental hygeine. Why do you think our dentists aren't telling us about this?
