I am 13 and I brush my teeth EVERYDAY, TWICE a day. Please Help!!! I have no idea what is wrong! I noticed up close int eh mirror today after brushing my teeth that the gums below my side molars are receding! I am also done losing teeth, so that couldn't be a cause. Could it be from tongue kissing? Just a thought. I don't know how they would relate, though. Please Help!!!!!!! I don't wanna be toothless by the time i'm 14!

Oh relax! I know your 13 and everything is a crisis at that age, but realy it isn't. Receding gums can hurt eventually but they aren't a crisis. you see a dentist, they diagnose and in some cases send you to a special dentist (I forget the name) and they do gum grafting. I've had that procedure a few times, not fun, but doesnt hurt THAT bad. Or the dentist might recomend a fluoride rinse like Plax and a toothpaste like sensodyne. You should try those first. Tongue kissing has nothing to do with it You wont be toothless. GOOD LUCK!

i'm no longer attentive to any thanks to resign receding gums on your individual, yet you may have gum graphing executed. that's a technique the position the oral healthcare professional takes gum from the roof of your mouth and sews it onto everywhere you've receding gums. that's intense priced and it hurts, besides the indisputable fact that it is going to completely stops your gums from receding. also, are not getting your teeth deepwhite or bleached till you've consulted your dentist or an oral healthcare professional. solid success!

you have some kind of infection, there are several mouthwashes that can cure the gingivitis ( medical name for it) look them up in internet, usualy they are small envelopes with a special powder to be dissolved in water and than you pass it around the gums once or twice a day. it's a good thing to see a dentist, but gengivitis is a term you can look up in internet.

LINDZ,
YOU MUST ONLY USE A TOOTHBRUSH WITH SOFT BRISTLES, AND NOT SCRUB YOUR TEETH WITH FORCE.
KISSING BY ANY MEANS WON'T CAUSEW GUM RECESSION. VISIT A DENTIST TO LEARN PROPER BRUSHING TECHNIQUE.
