I am just growing in my wisdom teeth. The lower left tooth is half-way in, and recently, whenever I bite or chew something, that tooth pinches my cheek and hurts it very bad. How can I stop this? Should I have this checked by a dentist? Has any body else had this before? Any advice? Suggestions?

Is it just me, or are there others that work in the field of dentistry who hold their profession, and all others that work in this profession, in the highest of regard. Especially those who pursued a specialty field which the general dentist relies on for their expertise with the more difficult procedures. The specialist practice relies heavily on the referrals of other dentist. A dentist may occasionally feel that their patients may benefit from a specialist “expertise” for certain procedures, that the dentist may be perfectly capable of performing, but it may be a very difficult, time consuming procedure for the patient. So for the comfort of the patient, they are referred to the specialist. So why would a dentist insult other dentist with remarks such as; “to goddamn lazy to perform RCT” and “should lose their license for not doing them” another comment was that “endodontist are despicable, lower form of dentistry, something lesser than the foreskin on a penis.” These remarks are obviously made by someone who has no respect for others (or himself for that matter) in this profession. I’m appalled by these derogatory remarks. My question: why would a professional bombard other professionals with such negativity that are in the same field?

I'm not sure which teeth whiteners actually work... and I don't want the white blotches on my teeth, even if they say that they will go away, I can't trust that. I'm not looking for bright white just more of a mother-of-pearl color, more natural.

My wife has a small white head "pimple" inside her mouth near the opening to her throat. She has popped it and popped it and it keeps returning. Does anyone have any idea as to what it may be? I think it may be some kind of gland that is just getting clogged. By what, I don't know? Thanks!

While cleaning my teeth, the dentist was making small talks and even told me a few jokes. It was my first visit, so I thought he was pretty friendly. Somewhere in the middle of the jokes and the high whiring noise of the sucking and scaling machines, I heard something about xrays and pictures and a panoramic of my teeth. After the cleaning, I wasn't even given time to get up to spit in the sink. He handed me some kleenex and told me to spit in them, then proceeded to take 1 photo of my teeth, and one of my "biggest smile." I was a little surprised, but didn't think much of it. Then after the real x-rays were taken, the receptionist told me I owed $12 for the 2 photos (which in actuality was only one, since they were printed together on a single 4x6). It was after 6pm and I was really hungry and tired, so I paid up, and was actually happy about how friendly they were. It didn't hit me that the charge was unreasonable until I thought it over dinner.

What do you think???

Ok. I have anxiety and am scared to death of the dentist. I've had a few bad experiences. Teeth pulled. Braces. Fillings. etc. Now I need some real good ways to get out of going. Not ringing up. Not simply just not going (I'll be getting dragged there) I've come up so far with the car just -accidentally- getting a flat tyre. and pretending to have a couple of blood clots. Anyone got any better ones that will work? And i'm not interested in "Just go". That went well when I did that last time -not- So any ideas?

I just got my braces off and my orthodontist just told me i have to wear my retainer 24/7... I'm not sure if he was exadurating but i don't know if i could do that. I've seen people not wear there retainers but 24/7 i find ridiclous. Would i still be able to keep my teeth where they are at right now by just wearing them at night when i sleep?
