I've seen the commercials for these products, they seem like an easy and good idea, but do they really work?

i have fluorosis on my front 4 teeth, leaving them with white splotches. recently, after some research, i bought some white strips (the kind for 10 days of whitening) and used them once. when i took them off, the white spots seemed even whiter and more prominent than before.
what should i do? will the white spots fade? my overall goal is to reduce the stand-outness of the white spots. should i continue with the strips? any advice?

I have heard about people needing some teeth pulled out prior to getting braces.

And which teeth get pulled out?

Why is this?

I had braces for over 2 years and had a retainer for over 2 years as well but it broke. Should I get a new one? Are my teeth going to move gradually during the years or is it not worh it to spend money on a new one?

My dentist has pulled out two of my teeth.
The first tooth was pulled out AT LEAST two years ago.
The second tooth was pulled out earlier this year.

I have not seen any signs of a tooth growing in its place.
My dentist said to just give it time and that my orthodontist will do something to "move the tooth up".

Does anyone know what kind of procedure the orthodontist does to make the tooth grow? And has this ever happened to anyone else?

Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

(X-rays show that there are teeth there. They are just now growing!)

Where do you buy the special type of gum called FreeDent? It is made for dental work, like braces, so it wont stick or break anything. I have looked at walmart and target, but nobody seems to have it! Does anyone know where to buy it???

I just got most of my bottom brackets off today. YAY!! I've had braces for about 4 years, and I've had my top backets off since summer. Since I'm 14 (turning 15 in 6 days! Woo!), and I'm in high school, it's all about image and I'm pretty self concious about my teeth. I did a pretty good job brushing, so they're no totally bad, but they are still kinda yellow. What's the best, inexpensive, at home, teeth whitening treatement I can use?

hey I got a question I've always wondered...I brush my teeth all the time and pride myself in dental hygiene but what if I never really brushed my teeth (lets say once every couple days) flossed once every month and rarely used mouthwash, lived this type of lifestyle for lets say 30 years then all of a sudden start brushing, flossing and using mouthwash everyday, do you think that would cure cavities and ginginvitis? or do you think your mouth is just shot that it'll just stay in the state it was in and stop deteriorating? any opinion is appreciated.

Hi--
i have a question.. it might sounds stupid, but i just thought i'd ask.... my teeth are sensitive so i need to use a toothpast for that, but i feel they are not clean enough afer i brush them with that.. so i use another one after i'm done with the first one... basically here is how i brush my teeth:
1-brush with sensitivity toothpaste
2-brusth with regular toothpaste (listerine)
3-mouthwash with listerine
4-brush with leave-in toothpaste (fluoride for prevention)

and my question is: when i'm done brushing is the first toothpaste still acting on my teeth, or did it get washed/brushed away with the 2nd or mouthwash?
