so i got my tounge pirced and i reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllly NEED a smoke will it get infected if i smoke?

I feel embrassed of my teeth. I'm only 15 and i have already had 4 fillings and i think i have 2-3 cavities but i'm not sure becuase i haven't been to the dentist for 3-4 years. How many cavites/ fillings do you have???

I drink about 10 glasses of water a day and eat small meals every few hours. I brush and floss before I leave for work.

I find after 8 hours of work, my teeth feel like they've got a thin layer of plaque on them.

Is this normal?
Also, my preference is not to take a toothbrush into the work environment, so is there another more subtle way of removing this film off of my teeth?

I'm 19 years old and i want braces. My friend who is the same age just got hers removed and her teeth are perfect.
I'm not wanting braces because of her. I've always wanted braces but i have a care less mother who work hard for insurance and never use it. long story short am i too old?

I got what my general dentist called 'embedded teeth' with a couple of my teeth stuck in my gums requiring surgery so i ask of anyone who has had them before...

Im asking what did it cost you? How long did this take? For anyone who had gaps, how did it affect those gaps? Thanks for the input..

my braces were just removed about a year ago. i lost my retainers for about 2 months and my canine tooth moved up and out a little bit. i have new retainers. my orthodontist said it will drop back down. but im worried . will it? can retainers help a canine tooth drop down

I was wondering how long I should wait until I have a cigarette. I am getting very impatient as I usually smoke about half a pack a day. I am still in a lot of pain, and cannot eat any kind of solid foods yet...dos anyone have any suggestions on how I can avoid the craving? grrr...my mom sitting beside me lighting up a cigarette isn't helping either.

I am thinking of applying to dental school very soon and some of my friends said that dental school was very hard and they hardly got any sleep during the 4 years, and that the work load was ALOT, and they never finished it on time. Is this all true? Is dental school a killer? How much work do u get per ngiht and how much hours do u study outside of class?Lastly, are the tests really hard?

ok i just stopped biting my nails (yay me) but now ive gotten into the horrid habit of cracking my knuckles (if thats how u spell it) some people say it can give me arthrits ...can it actually? and will my hands get ugly like big dark knuckles? i really want to stop but i cant....also my cousin just stopped biting her nails but now she chews on the inside of her cheek its not very attractive for a young lady and im wondering if that has anybad effects...or if someon kisses her can they feel like the pices of flesh and stuff from her mouth i know that sounds disgusting but yeah thank you in advance

My 5 year old son grinds his teeth while he sleeps. He has been doing this he got his teeth.

I took him to the dentist who said not to worry about it and that he would grow out of this habit. This habit was due more to having a small mouth.

Have others had the same response or is there something I should be doing about this?

I very recently (2 days ago) got a hole in my front tooth filled, now I can't drink water or eat anything cold without it hurting. I even bought the tooth paste for sensitive teeth but couldnt even brush them because of the pain. I have never had sensitive teeth in my life before. Is this normal? Or has the dentist screwed my tooth?
