It looks like i lost a tooth and it feels like i have been punched in the face. i just wonder if something isnt trying to come through, so like i said can wisdom teeth grow back?

Ok about 3 months ago, i went to have a tooth taken out, during the extraction, the tooth shattered leaving all the roots poking out, i went 3-4 times to have the roots removed, finally on the 5th time i went the and had the roots removed, two came out O.K, but the other two just kept on breaking, he removed as much as he could but said there was some left in... i naw have this dull pain, and the hole if filled with what looks like white gunk, is this normal, it tastes funny..?

What is the best drug to take to releive pain..?

Is it ok to have some 'root' left in..??

I had a brace when I was younger and my teeth have gone back to the way they were - I wore the retainer for about a year after the treatment and was told i could stop wearing them. I am now looking to have a brace again and as far as vanity goes I would like to have the clear brace - but cost wise its too expensive and its looking like i may have to have the metal one's for another 2 years. I am just really nervous as i'm worried about being ridiculed - can anyone thats worn a brace before tell me how they felt.

Also has it been worth it?

If you didn't like your dentist because he badgers you to save thousands to get 6 crowns (One per year) for cosmetic purposes and won't listen to you if you tell him you don't want them and dental insurance doesn't cover cosmetic crowns, would you stay with him or start going to a different dentist that's in network with your insurance plan but takes you an extra half hour to get to? Can you have your dental records mailed to your address to give to a new dentist at a later time?

surely it can't be as simple as using products like these? http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0544281/Trail/C%24cip%3D42222.Sports%2Band%2Bleisure%3EC%24cip%3D42288.Health%2Band%2Bfitness%2Bmonitors%2Band%2Baids%3EC%24cip%3D42292.Sports%2Bnutrition%2Band%2Bfood%2Bsupplements.htm If so then why do people have special whitening sessions when they can just using this?

not so much the teeth, but the gums area, surrounding the teeth. I don't remember knocking them recently, or bit into anything hard or cold. they just sort of ache... like the teeth are growing or falling off. is this a toothache or gumache? what's the cause and what should i do? I am a 29 yrl old mother of one, if it helps in your diagnosis.

I got my braces off 3 years ago and i havent worn my retainer since august/september 2005. Now my bottom tooth is turning in a bit and my canine looks like it it sticking out a bit...luckily they are not very noticeable. If i start wearing my retainer, will it help fix it?
The reason why i stopped wearing my retainer is b/c it was uncomfortable and a hassle. Should I ak my orthodontist about a clear retainer? Will I need braces again? Thanks

Each of my 2nd incisors are bridged teeth...so I have my front teeth, then the next ones on each side are fake, then the rest are mine. I'm looking for a way to whiten my teeth without it being a dentist procedure. I know I can't get them completely white but would they lighten up a little bit with home methods? It seems like they've all become more stained since I got the bridge 6 or 7 years ago. Any suggestions?

About 3 months ago I had 3 molars filled with the white filling material. I had not had a tooth filled since I was in Jr. High (I'm 36), and was not aware that a tooth filling could be "too high". I experienced pain and soreness when biting down, even on the other side of my mouth. Anytime my fillings made contact with my other teeth the pain was excrutiating. I thought that maybe I just needed to give it some time, so I waited 2 1/2 weeks before going back in to see my dentist. That is when he informed me about the pain and soreness that a high filling could cause. He filed it down, and I waited. After another week, I had pain only on one tooth, so I returned to have that filling reduced again. After that visit, I found significant relief. I still did not feel comfortable chewing on that side, but it didn't hurt, just some discomfort when I bit down. Well 5-6 weeks later, pain has returned along with significant swelling on the gum under that tooth. Now what could it be?
