Cotton Mouth after Tongue piercing! HELP!???

I just got my tongue pierced and it seems like my mouth is always so dry. I don't breathe with my mouth open, but it seems like my mouth is constantly dry. Is this normal? If so, why is this happening? Has anyone else felt this way? HELP!?

Put a teabag on the piercing immediately, put some teabags in freezer also to use on tongue
honey on the teabag will bring relief also

may this is why it isn't a good idea to puncture your tongue? Just a thought.
