If you do get back into the habit of biting your nails again( NOoo!) then paint on some nail biting prevention nail Polish. The taste is bitter so you'll end your habit all over again. Cracking your knuckles doesn't give you arthritis because all your doing is just popping the air out of your air pockets. Pretty safe but some people don't like the sound of it. I love doing it! it releases tension and i feel more refreshed. As I'm typing I'm cracking my neck. arr. lol Hope this information helped

Start collecting and popping the blisters on bubble wrap. Then cut down on your caffeine. That means less coke, tea, and coffee. Substitute sodas with decaffeinated drinks, juices or clear colas, like seven-up. Water is always a good choice.
As to your second question; whether or not your cousin's kisser can tell about her shredded mouth is not importaint. What is VERY importaint is that she should never kiss anyone with an open wound or sore spot in the mouth. You can catch all kinds of nastys that a way, including, herpies, or even HIV. Rinse, rinse, rinse, with Listerine several times a day.

Hi Giant,

This is all mythology that cracking knuckes makes them large or dark or arthritic. However, any repetitive action like that, can help to perpetuate the habit of OCD behaviors.
Try to calm yourself and see if more physical exercise will settle you down some. Reduce your caffeine and sugars.

Basically if this the only bad habit you have - you are lucky - stop worrying about it
