I'm at that age now where I'm not interested in getting braces. I've heard of a product called invisiline.

Would someone have some more details about it. Is this product something that is removable and worn only at night.

I work during the day and would prefer not to have anything in my mouth while I'm at work.

Thank you

My husband had 3-4 silver fillings replaced with composite just today around 3-4pm, and now suddenly 11:00 at night he is struck with an extreme consistent pain where they did the work. Did they not seal the filling completely??? He is allergic to aspirin so all he has is tylenol. Are there any home remedies to help relieve this pain. Will ice help?? I just don't want to do something that will cause more pain by accident, so I thought I would ask around first. Thanks Poni

I got my teeth cleaned in March of 2006. The dentist said I had two cavities, one that was deep and one not very deep. When I got the first filled, he didn't use any sort of pain reliever at all, not even a numbing shot. It was probably the worst pain I've ever felt, to the point that I had nightmares. Needless to say, I didn't go back to get the second one filled. So, I've had an unfilled cavity for almost a year. How much damage has been done to my tooth? It hurts when I eat sweets, but it seems like it's actually the filled tooth that's hurting, not the unfilled one. Is that possible? I've got a dental appointment in 2 weeks, but I would like to get some idea of what I'm in for.

I’ve had a bit of an alignment problem with my teeth for a while and I’ve finally decided to get it fixed with veneers, but when I got to the dentist I was informed that veneers would not be the best options because I have a cross bite (the canine tooth on the bottom row overlaps with one of the tooth in the front row),she said if I got veneers it would get dislodged/crack or break when I bite and this would be a problem cause veneers can’t be replaced. I was wondering what other cosmetic surgery can be done to fix this problem, because the only other options she gave me were to get braces and I am not really interested in that, I think I am too old for that. Is there anything I can do to fix the problem with the cross bite?

Thanks, your reply is greatly appreciated.

My orthodonist said that I needed braces, but only for the top part of my mouth, becuase the bottom is straight. Anyway, me and my parents need to choose the cheapest there is. I have heard that there is such a thing as 4 braces, like, just for the 4 center teeth, not the back teeth, is this cheaper or not? also what is the cheapest braces you can get (just the top ones)

ok well...i'm 15 years old and still suck my thumb. yes i know i should've quit a long time ago, but it's easier said than done. i'm suppose to be getting braces on jan 30. my dad caught me sucking my thumb and said hes not getting me braces if im still doing that. i really want to and need to quit, but the urges are really strong to resist sometimes. So do you have any suggestions on how to quit and how to prove to him that i've quit, because i already told him i quit but now i doubt he'll trust me. Please dont suggest hotsauce or nailpolish stuff or the gadget that goes in ur mouth. any other ways? i dont want to ask my ortho, i already told him i quit, too. What can i do whenever i get the urge to do this?
