I'm at that age now where I'm not interested in getting braces. I've heard of a product called invisiline.

Would someone have some more details about it. Is this product something that is removable and worn only at night.

I work during the day and would prefer not to have anything in my mouth while I'm at work.

Thank you

I am an Orthodontist and can probably help you with this question. Invisalign uses series of clear plastic trays to straighten your teeth. You wear these trays for 2-3 weeks and then change to next set of trays. These trays have to be worn full time and not night only!! These trays fit snugly to to your teeth ans will not cause any speech impediment. Depending on the severity of the case, you may get any where from 20 - 50 sets of retainers. But keep in mind that while Invisalign will make your teeth straight, the optimal results are not ac hived using this method. One final piece of advice, what ever you do, please go an Orthodontist and not a general dentist certified in Invisalign. Go to invisaling.com or braces.org to find Invisalign certified Orthodontists in your area. I have seen some nightmarish cases done my general dentist in my practice. I have to re do several cases and it is not an pleasant experience. Hope that helps. Thank you.

Invisalign is like a clear retainer that covers all your teeth and you wear it all day and all night.

My brother tried Invisalign for his minor teeth problems and it didn't work - he ended up getting real braces later. Plus, the Invisalign was very painful, with the plastic edges cutting into his gums and so on. He was in the doc's office at least once a week trying to get them to fit right.
