my braces were just removed about a year ago. i lost my retainers for about 2 months and my canine tooth moved up and out a little bit. i have new retainers. my orthodontist said it will drop back down. but im worried . will it? can retainers help a canine tooth drop down

i said i have new retainers
i couldnt get them when i lost them for that 2 months cause i was on vacation.

You're better served by your dentist's opinion than a bunch of know-nothings on Yahoo... including me.

Most likely it wont. If you were much younger then you would feel some pressure if you didnt wear it for 5 days (I experienced this a few times), but if your retainer is just the solid kind (not the one where it can expand) then the bone in your jaw is going to be pretty rock solid, meaning your teeth wont be shifting around too much.

It would be best if you could find that retainer....it's funny because I lost my "positioner" too. I wish I still had it to really keep my teeth "in line". Your ortho, must know best, it will drop back down.
