There is no age limit on braces. The reason why children get them is because at that age we are still growing. This gives our bodies time to adjust to the change.
If you opt to get them now you must know that your doctor will most likely want to remove your cannine teeth. Those are the pointy teeth on either side of your front teeth.

HI. There really is no limit. I have seen adults in their 30's and 40's wearing newly installed braces.
They are very expensive. Braces are NOT covered by medical insurance, your mom has to pay for them. I live in Canada, and I know they cost a few thousand dollars here. The cost also depends on the type and amount of brackets you will need. You may need 4 - 6 brackets only on the top, or you may need 4 - 6 only on the bottom. You may need a full set on both top and bottom.
*Next time you go see the dentist, ask him or her for an estimate for amount of brackets you need and an estimate for the cost.
Try to bargain with your mom: Maybe you each can pay half.
Like I said, they are $$$. Babysit and things like that if you already dont have a job.
:o)

there is no age limit to getting braces. If you are older it may take a little longer for the corrections to take place. thats why most people have them when they are still young and growing. Many adults have braces though.

No, your not to old. It's all up to your personal preference...you can get braces when your 32...your orthodontist might think you don't need braces...but age is never a factor...unless you 55 and you might get dentures in a year!! HAHA...hope i helpd you some...

You are never to old to have braces - it really can be a health issue if your bite is off and if you have difficulty in keeping your teeth and gums healthy because of crooked teeth.

no, there is not an age limit...people can get them at any age, but you ought to be ashamed to talk about your mother that way. when you are paying all the bills and supporting kids, you might have a clue about the real world. and by the way, at 19, you are not a kid, so get a job and your own insurance. good luck.

never too old for them. My mother is approaching 60 and just got a new set. Its just easier to deal with when you are younger and still developing.

ONE LADY WAS 63 AND SHE HAD BRACES. WHEN I ASKED HER WHY, SHE SAID, "BETTER LATE THAN NEVER."
AGE HAS NO RESTRICTION, HOWEVER CHILDREN'S TEETH CAN BE MOVED FASTER WHEN THEY ARE YOUNG.
