I wonder about those x - rays at the dentist how safe are they really? He tells me they are extremely low dosage. But why does everybody get behind a wall when he takes them?

What's a way besides brushing your teeth which I already do. What's a really good way but without going to the store to buy those white strips or something.

Best care for a retainer to eliminate it's bad taste as well as cleaning it to where it doesn't smell stale and it's nice and disinfected.

I guess this is going to receive a lot of crazy answers but it is a serious question. I had a false tooth fitted next to a kind of crown which was fitted into gums with a post. This has fallen out and I am told the only option is to have false tooth on plate fitted. Oral sex features highly in my sex life and I am worried recipient will know or that worse still tooth will fall out whilst sucking husbands love lolly (not sure how to put it without being too rude). We have met other friends on the swinging scene and I am concerned this going to curtail out fun. Heard of having teeth screwed in and wonder if anyone could give approx price for two teeth in UK. Of course I know this will vary from place to place. I do not mean offence by this question but am too embarrassed to voice these concerns to my dentist in person. If not too expensive may try implants. By the way teeth affected are those immediately adjacent to left of two middle top teeth

I haven't used them before and i wanna know the advantages of electric ones comparing to "manual ones" apart from easiness.

also i noticed that the price varies from a few pounds to hundreds of pounds...I've no idea at all!

Is there any way she can get braces and get her teeth fixed at a cheaper price? Garland area would be perferred. Does anybody know any kind of insurance or a dental school thats cheap?

I had an abscess tooth and the dentist perscribed clindamycin hcl 300mg caps but i can't take pills and have very serious reservations about the medicine after reading all the warnings. My dentist says just take it anyways but how can I get a different perscription. I don't want the infection to get worse. I did have the tooth pulled. I don't take any kind of medication except for childrens tyenol when I need to. Any ideas?
My reservations include: only in capsule form, warning not to sit for 30 minutes after taking it, can cause severe intestional bleeding even after you finish taking it, diarrhea, etc...

Any ideas would be very helpful.

I'm on the aenta DMO plan, which is really crappy and already had a bad experience with the first dentist I had. I was wondering if there is anyone out there that lives in Chicago that has the same plan and has a really good dentist, thanks

Two of my wisdom teeth are coming in, both on the left side (top and bottom). It hurts pretty bad and is a little swollen too. I've got just a little bit of tooth begining to show on both the top and bottom. But it's a pain in the @ss having to deal with this at work and in school. Is there anything I can do for the pain?!

I had a very bad abscess which needed a root canal. The dentist opened up the tooth & let it drain. This alone caused me the most severe pain I have ever had @ the dentist. Because the pain was so bad when I went back to finish the tooth I had an anxiety attack and did could not finish the RC. Because I had several (5) abscess teeth I decided to go to an Endodontist (they had IV sedation & my dentist didn't) & have all of them done at once. Long story short the Endodontist missed this tooth and it was not completed. I then called my dentist to have them finish it (since I had already pd them) & they didn't want to mess with it-said to go back to Endodontist. The problem is that I pd $700 to the 1st Dentist, & finally had to go to another dentist who did complete it, but cost me another $757. Can I get my $ refunded from the 1st Dentist who only did 1/2 the treatment (but I pd for the complete root canal)?

and how do you fix it?
Lately I've been searching the internet for ways to whiten my teeth, and I've always used peroxide. Well the past two times I've done it, I used baking soda. Now, the bottom of my teeth are becoming a different shade of white.
I'm pretty sure it's the enamel, but it only happened a couple days ago when I woke up, and by the end of the day it's usually almost back to normal, but when I wake up the next day, they're discolored again.
What can I do to fix the enamel!!?!??!

I had insurance through my old employer the time I went to see my dentist. They claim I never paid the bill. I work at a new place now. How do I go about going back and retreiving all the old information so I can get that off my credit report? It's been a couple of years and I don't remember who my dental insurance was.

He wanted "Syllabus of Complete Dentures" (Dentristry) published by Lea and Ferbiger. I managed to track it down and ordered a secondhand copy of the Third edition. It was published in 1980. That is so out of date there must be a later edition but I cannot trace it. Any dentists out there who can help?

I already use Listerine Whitening Rinse. Whitening strips didn't really work for me, plus I don't just want the front whitened, I would like all of them whitened if possible, and I'm willing to pay up to maybe, $200. Thanks!
