He wanted "Syllabus of Complete Dentures" (Dentristry) published by Lea and Ferbiger. I managed to track it down and ordered a secondhand copy of the Third edition. It was published in 1980. That is so out of date there must be a later edition but I cannot trace it. Any dentists out there who can help?

Believe it or not, the PRINCIPLES in this edition are not out of date. This is a classic textbook. There are newer materials used for taking impressions and probably even for making the dentures in the lab, but this is still a book of interest.

The latest version that I can find is called "Textbook of Complete Dentures" by Arthur O. Rahn and Charles M. Heartwell, Jr., 5th edition, published in 2001. The publisher is now B.C.Decker. The ISBN number is 1550091980. You can find this on Amazon, where three people are selling used copies ($84-90) or there is one seller with the book on eBay with a Buy-It-Now for $44.99 plus $9.99 shipping. Go to eBay and search using "denture book" as your search term and you will find it if it's still available. It is down in the store listings. I am paranoid about posting the link to this site, but you'll find it.

There is really know way we can tell . Because different dental colleges will do different books . The thing you can do is find out the publishers and phone them or just go into a book shop and ask them about this .
