Dental - January 2007

My last dentist was quite rude to me at every appointment. Once, I had a cavity, and even after I admitted that it was my fault (obviously) and that I was sorry, he just kept going ON and ON and ON and was just really rude about it, like I was the only person in the world to ever get a cavity. I just want to find a nice dentist who will help me keep my teeth in good shape.

I went to dentist earlier in year because i had a horrible tooth infection. i later went back so they can take full mouth x rays and write up a treatment plan. it came up to 15,000 for everything. they said a bridge would be best option. i really need to get teeth fixed. but i just dont have financial capability. getting my teeth fixed would 100% change my life. i feel so bad about my teeth, i want em fixed so bad so i can actually have some self confidence and self esteem. i just do seem to have any because of this. my teeth is the only thing that i think is stopping me from finding a girlfriend which i havent had in years. i feel if i cant get my teeth fix, my life will just be in a rut and will just crumble away. i cant express how much getting my teeth fixed would help me. i just cant. please help. i need ideas on what to do. i pray everyday that something will happen but i just dont see it happening. i dont know what to do. im about in tears writing this.

All my life Ive had bad teeth, and at around 7 i had 14 baby teeth removed as they were in a bad state. As a child I didnt gorge on sweets and my favorite drink was milk or ribena (i think) so it wasnt because I didnt look after them. Since then tho I've not taken care of them I'll admit and they could use some work.

I have 2 problems.

My main beef with them is the front few. They are all out of line, there are white marks on a few that look extreamly odd, and the gums are extreamly receeded.

2nd when i try to align my teeth so my mouth closes properly all the back ones are out of line too, top against bottom. This leaves me with my jaw usually open (mouth closed except in sleep) and with my tongue usually between the two sets

The Question Im asking is how much would it cost to correct these 'faults' and what exactly are my options. I'd ask my dentist but he's not called the butcher for nothing :( I had a deep root canal once, but have been back 3 times with problems :(:(

in my two front teeth there is a gap about a centemeter wide, and on the bottom there is a gap the size of two teeth. im only 11 and everyone always calls my mean names. i have this thing were where when a tooth falls out another one wont grow back? it will be a long time before it is fixed and i cant take everyone making fun of me anyone?

I had a crown done 4 Years ago and today its swelling up. My temperature is 99.1 so that is nothing. I usually run low. What is cuasing the swelling? I do not have much money to see the dentist. Is there any way to take care of this?

I have been on comp since october 04 and we just got dropped from our primary insurance through the company i worked for. I am still empolyed there although i am unable to work anymore. I live in PA.

Trying to move into a house and the previous owner had something go bad in the fridgerator and can't get the smell out! We have cleaned it and let it air out and tried baking soda on every shelf in freezer and fridge! I can't leave anything in either sides I don't know what else to try!!

The filling fell out and now parts of the tooth have broken off---i can only go to an oral surgeon and they can't see me for 2 more weeks--
any suggestions on how to deal with this---there is n't any pain--just annoying sharp edges from the tooth.

The Essix retainera are on my top and lower teeth and I've just finished my brace treatment (four years, traintracks) and i got these today. I was quite surprised as they took the mold and in the hour the retainers were ready but after an hour or so of wearing them I started having the most excruciating pain and I took them out and looked at the bottom and they are not smooth , they are very jagged and pointy at the ends and sides. I really don't know what to do but Im having trouble eating, drinking and talking as I experience excruciating pain and have developed sore throat. WHAT SHALL I DO?

I just got two [baby] teeth pulled. And I meant to ask the dentist, but I forgot too.. So I was just wondering how long it takes for the adult teeth to come in? is it a long time? I mean I've lost teeth before.. But I never really payed attention to how long it took for new teeth to come in.. And I Don;t know if it makes a difference or not that they were pulled.. Will that make it take longer? or does it not matter?

i do not smoke, drink coffee and i brush my teeth about 3 times a day and i have noticed that my teeth seem more yellow lately. why would this be? and what are some ways to get whiter teeth?
