I just got two [baby] teeth pulled. And I meant to ask the dentist, but I forgot too.. So I was just wondering how long it takes for the adult teeth to come in? is it a long time? I mean I've lost teeth before.. But I never really payed attention to how long it took for new teeth to come in.. And I Don;t know if it makes a difference or not that they were pulled.. Will that make it take longer? or does it not matter?

Thanks for the help.

There are different ages that eruption of the permanent dentition occurs. Some start earlier but most have one or two central incisors by 6 yrs old, then they gradually are losing and erupting through out the years until around 12 years old when the 2nd molar erupts. Thus the reason the 2nd molar is called the 12 year molar. That is usually the last tooth that most people have erupt on their own. The 3rd molar, more commonly referred to as the wisdom tooth is sometimes extracted before eruption due to impaction, lack of room in the mouth, and sometimes it's just simply not there. It is the problem tooth in almost all cases. It usually erupts around 17-25 years of age.

Well, the range is broad depending on which tooth. Take a look at the link below.
Starting around the 7th year of age to the 25th year of age.

they would not in any respect come out. I had to have somewhat one tooth pulled at the same time as i become 17 because it become too connected to my gums. in the adventure that your dentist recommends pulling them you should enable him otherwise they are going to slowly die and develop into gross and reason an infection. If the guy tooth has no longer grown in yet there would no longer be an man or woman tooth. i did not have one the position my tooth become pulled. The healthcare specialist can put in a pretend tooth instead. strong success!
