Hi, I have wisdom teeth growing in on the lower.

I have the biggest phobia of needles and would rather be fully sedated then have a needle stuck into my gums.

Is it possible to be fully sedated and have this procedure done?

I know it may sound dumb, but I was wondering about it. I'm 16 and I have a full set of false teeth. I haven't been to a dentist since a little after I got them a couple years ago and I was wondering if gum disease is a problem for people that don't have any teeth.

I got my wisdom teeth taken out over a week ago (1/15). I had the bottom two removed, both very impacted with part of the bone removed.

I am still experiencing pain on both sides that starts at the the socket and spreads down to the front of my mouth along the gum line. During the day (when I take Motrin) it's just a dull ache. But, in the middle of the night when the meds wear off it's a sharp pain thats so severe it keeps me awake the whole rest of the night. I still can't eat anything and am on a liquid diet. My dentist office won't see me until Thursday.

Shouldn't I feel better by now?

I was told about a year and a half ago that I needed my lower jaw moved forward to correct the bite. I have had braces for the last year and today I have been back to the hospital to see the surgeon. I was then told that I need to have my upper jaw moved higher. I was a bit taken back by this and now have loads of questions to ask! Does anybody know about this type of surgery or have a personal experience of this. I just really want to know what the procedure is and the recovery time. Also does anyone know how long I would be off of work or sports, (I am a vet nurse and a horse rider) Thanks to everyone who answers. All answers very much appreciated.

Ok, I had no dental insurance and an EXCRUCIATING, MIND-NUMBING, ALL_CONSUMING toothache for about a month and a half.
Then, gradually over about a week, it stopped.

Why is this? Is the nerve dead? Could there be an abscess? Will I need to get it removed? AHHHHH! Help!

I stopped smoking about 3 weeks ago (again!!). But this is the longest period I have done for a couple of years so hopefully this is the big quit!!

But anyway - the tip of my tongue is really tingley. Tongue was whitish, and patchy - now all becoming a better colour (still a bit patchy though). But the 1st centimetre of it at the tip is really irritating. Is it a normal thing to happen, or do I see a doc / dentist??

My boyfriend was talking about some product you get at a dentist, I think it's called Errodent or something. Its supposed to bubble up and clean your gums really well. I need help, can someone tell me the name of this product, i'm sure its some kind of hydrogen peroxide solution, but I still want to find it. I've tried hyrogen peroxide and it stings.

I want a deep clean feel on the gums

thanks in advance guys

They've fallen out twice within the past 3 or so months (from separate teeth)! Both the cavities the fillings fell out of are very tiny and the dentist used white composite fillings to fill them. Why do they seem to pop out so easily?

The first one fell out on my left molar and this time it's fallen out from the right molar. Do molars just not take well to fillings or what? Do smaller cavities have a harder time holding fillings in place? Everytime my fillings come out, I can feel the tiny crumbled bits in my mouth (which has been my cue twice that my fillings fell out). How long are white composite fillings supposed to last normally?
