I stopped smoking about 3 weeks ago (again!!). But this is the longest period I have done for a couple of years so hopefully this is the big quit!!

But anyway - the tip of my tongue is really tingley. Tongue was whitish, and patchy - now all becoming a better colour (still a bit patchy though). But the 1st centimetre of it at the tip is really irritating. Is it a normal thing to happen, or do I see a doc / dentist??

I gave up smokling 6 months ago, my tongue tinkled for the first month, then my gums became really sore and bled quite alot, apparently it's due to the blood coming back into your gums... I would suppose the tongue thing is much the same thing, if it worries you see a doc, mine only lasted about 4 weeks. Small price to pay really when you consider the effects smoking can have...WELL DONE> KEEP IT UP>

I suppose your tongue is getting it's senses back, smoking must effect that as well as other organs.

its just your taste buds coming back to life. when you smoke, it literally kills your taste buds. as time goes by, you'll be able to taste things better, good job on quitting!
