Depending where in the mouth you are getting it.

I had dental implant surgery yesterday (I have 5 gaps - 4 top and one on the bottom as I had baby teeth that never had adult teeth grow in). I decided on the implants on 3 upper teeth and am opting for a bridge on one tooth because of lack of bone density on the one side and will likely go for a bridge on the bottom tooth only because it's not as visible as my top teeth,

I would go for implants if you can afford it and can get them based on your bone density. Otherwise a bridge can work just as well. Only problem with a bridge is they have to chip away at your "good teeth" to do it. Best of luck whatever you decide.

An implant is usually the best choice. It can cost more and take more time - but worth it. When you have a bridge you have to effect the teeth on both sides of the missing tooth. If those teeth are healthy then it is a shame to have to take down their tooth structure for the bridge. An implant will just be in the missing area. If you have insurance coverage check to make sure they cover implants - not all do. Good luck!

probably an implant. a bridge is connected to other teeth, an implant "stands" on it's own. i'm going through the same thing now. implants costs more but i believe they are better. a bridge relies on other stable teeth.

if by bridge you mean partial plate, i would take the implants. bridges hook on to the next teeth and eventually they go bad, then a new partial hooking on to the next teeth it goes on until you end up with a full top or bottom denture plate
