Ahhh...braces, what fond memories I have of them...lol, not really. Ok, I imagine they're driving you crazy because they hurt, and that's normal. Whenever mine got really bad, I would take some Advil or Tylenol. Any aspirin will do. For the first few days, you might just have to hang in there and stick with softer, less solid foods. Good luck to you, and don't worry, you'll be done with the painful part in no time.

Sorry toots! you have to get used to them,i had them for 4 years. fell and almost knocked my tooth out so i had to put them back on. but their off now so I'm an expert! you cant do anything which sucks, if the wire is scratching your lip or gum, ask the doctor to cut if off or ask for some wax for your braces. put the wax over the part that's sticking you and you'll be fine!...don't fret now...just hope you don't have to wear the dreaded rubber bands....it attaches your bottom fang or front teeth to your top using a white or colored(if preferred) rubber band.

Well, the first few days are gonna be hell. Your mouth hasn't adjusted to having all of that metal in it.

Take pain medication.. lots of it. That's really my only advice.

I can't remember what all I used to do.. It's been about 12 years since I've had braces...

It'll take you a little time to get used to them. Some orthodontists will give you wax to put on if it is rubbing against your mouth. It'll eventually get better, honestly.

Wait a few weeks, and you'll be fine.

If it doesn't work, you can find me, and punch me in the face.
