Im really wanting to get a root canal and save it cause i dont want a fake tooth.. im only 23. But what do they do during a root canal? Do they have to drill out the black? Any answers will be helpful and hopefully make me feel better.

A runny nose or something? I mean come on people say hey your being an idiot if you believe you can get sick that way - I say chances are you can get sick, common cold or something. Because it doesn't make any sense as to why you would go outside with something wet on when it's cold, COME ON PEOPLE THAT CAN'T BE HEALTHY! So, my question is what can happen - I mean it has to effect your immune system in some way, right?

I'm 23 and have never in my life so far been able to swallow pills. I've tried several different ways of trying to swallow them but have no luck. The last few times I've been given pills they are the type that can't be crushed/taken with food/or broken apart. I'm paranoid about choking on anything to the point that my tongue is always pressed against the roof of my mouth and I chew for a long time while swallowing around the sides of my tongue. Even when I sleep my tongue stays there. (Got choked a couple of times when I was young pretty bad.) I usually got liquid but now since I'm living with my bf and his parents and they all tell me "I'm an adult and there is no reason for me not to swallow pills." I've got some capsule pills I need to take for an infection in my gums after a root canal and I spent 45 minutes yesterday till the pill fell apart and the roof of my mouth got swollen. I'm probably going to call the dentist to prescribe liquid but I know I will have the problem again.

i've applied for an admin job at a hospital and have to fill out a health questionnaire. one of the questions asks if i have/do self harm.
i've been cutting myself for 5yrs, should i be truthful and tick yes? i really don't want them to know, it won't affect my work. i'm worried they'll make me have a health assessment and i don't want to have to discuss my reasons for it.
i want to tick no, but i'm worried they'll access my medical records and discover i lied.

what should i do?

Do you think smoking around children should be allowed? There's so much evidence that cigarette smoke is poisonous that it seems like it should be illegal to smoke anywhere near children (including in your own home if you have children).

She is overweight and it seems like she has an odd odor about her that plain out stinks. She is very clean in that she always wears clean clothes, bathes everyday (sometimes twice a day), wears deoderant/perfumes/etc. She no longer lives at home but when she does come home to visit, we all notice the strong odor about her. She doesn't seem to notice. It is bad enough that after she sits on the couch for a while, the smell stays and when she leaves I have to use sprays to get rid of the smell. I think it may be a medical issue or else related to her being overweight. But since she is 19 I can not talk to a doctor about her for "privacy" reasons (that came from the doctor themselves). She is very sensitive and gets mad everytime I try to offer a suggestion to help her and she keeps gaining more weight even though I offered to pay for a gym membership and a nutrition education course for her (she refused). How do I talk to her and explain the smell? I'm sure others notice.

I've tried so many different home remedies and now I turn to you for some more professional assistance.
It started when my brother thought he would be cool and give me a Dirty Sanchez. Even after I got rid of the horrible smell I was still plagued with this bad itching feeling inside my nose and my upper lungs. Do you think I inhaled his poop?

9 months ago I could walk 5-10 miles a day without breaking a sweat or feeling the least bit tired since then I've been living a pretty inactive life 90% of my day is spent either asleep or sitting down all day (no walking or real excerise at all). Just recently I tried to walk a mile to the store and after about 1-2 block my lower back and legs start hurting to the point where iI would have literally collapsed if i didnt find a place to sit down and rest. I had to sit down at EVERY corner to rest on the way to the store (along with the back and leg pain was also be being out of breath easily) now walking 2-3 blocks or even standing up for 30-60mins is a challenge for me. My question is am I stuck like this forever and should seek medical help or is this just from being inactive for 9 months and if i push my body to walk 2-3 blcoks daily (enduring the pain for a while) it will eventually get back to the shape it was (or at least close to it) 9 months ago? Oh and Im 24 years old btw.

Okay so i started a diet a couple days ago because i am like 40 lbs over weight...so yesterday i had a grilled chicken salad for lunch, a bowl of cereal for breakfast, and for dinner since my mom didn't cook i had a chicken deli sandwhich with a little bit of mustard....But last night about 2:45 am i woke up to go to the restroom and went in the kitchen to get a swig of water and I almost fainted! i got really light headed and i instantly felt like i was on fire! why would i start feeling like this? is it because my body is use to junk and now that i'm eatting healthy it's not responding well? or is it that i was dehydrated! i ate a piece of the deli chicken and felt a little better and was able to go back to sleep....

Any suggestion on what would of caused this? it lasted for maybe 10 mins! i started sweating and literally felt like i was on fire!

Everyone tells me not to eat egg yolks because of cholesterol. So, what should I do with them. Seems like a waste to throw them away.

I had my upper right wisdom tooth pulled 2 days ago and I've had a horrible migraine ever since. I know I should expect a good amount of pain, but most of it is my eyes. It's so bad that when I'm around bright lights I get severe sharp pains in both of them. The hole where the tooth was doesn't even hurt. I know all the nerves are connected, but I couldn't really find anything about extreme eye pain. Is all this normal or has it happened to anyone else?
