I do body pump twice a week and yoga twice a week. I am 45 years old and have been doing this for years. However in the past year i have been bothered with severre neck and shoulder pain and also now sore knees.
I love the exercise i do but am worried i am harming myself. what do you think? i keep my weights down now and have seen osteopath/physio for neck but nothing provides long term relief. i feel the body pump does affect my neck. However i dont want to get fat or flabby. Any ideas?

I have been sick since wednesday night.
Thursday I felt terrible.
Throwing up, dizzy, sore throat, runny nose, fever.
Yesterday I felt like i was feeling better til 6:45pm when I was at work, the I was sent hom 2 hours early.
This morning I woke up, with a more sore throat than it has been, and its really gettin gto me.
Im starting to feel more ill than ever

anyone know what I could possibly do or take to get rid of this ill feeling?

I have had neck and shoulder pain and have spent a fortune on massage and osteopathy. The pain is still there and i am thinking of going to see a chiropractor - but they are very expensive and not sure what the difference is between them and osteopath.
I really want to get it sorted as had really sharp pain today in my neck when doing body pump and dont want to give it up!!!

i just dont know what to do. go back to osteopath or go to chiropractor?

In other words - do other companies start selling their versions the day after the exclusivity expires or is it just then that they start working on creating their own version and we can find cheaper versions on the shelf only, say, few years later?

I may be getting an assistance dog, but I have an allergy to certain dogs, but not others. I seem to be allergic to those whos hair is like a cats.
Would a Labrador or Retriever or Cross of the two be OK.

I once had a retriever cross and was fine with him, and I know a flat coated retriever whom I'm OK around, but I haven't yet seen her when she has been molting.

I ordered several pair of 10" long carbon rubber electrodes last year, and they were the last two pair before they quit selling it all together (think they were going to cut them down from then on). Does anyone know where I could buy some more of these electrodes? I have serious chronic back pain, stimulator down low and I run a tens on both sides of my spine from the mid-low to high on the muscles, so they have to be long.

I've tried several different tens units where I can run 8 pads at once (4 of the rubber) and I can't stand them....hence why I have about 4 dang near tens units sitting around the house! ;-) Point being, I'm really in need of the longest ones I can find.

sometimes i get a little bit of this flaky skin in my nipples. i know that flaky skin is a sign of breast cancer but its only sometimes and just a little on my nipples. i think im too young to get breast cancer, im 17. I have no other sign of breast cancer, everything seems to be normal. this has happened for years now and i guess ever since i found out about flaky skin and breast cancer, iv worried.

It doesnt itch, there is just flakiness to it sometimes, and its only little.

Anything to worry about?

phlegm when i 1st wake up that feels like its stuck in my throat this morning i gaged 3 times to get it out anf finally then more was stuck!! it was thick the 1st one was on the brownish side light though next to were green..the were thickish too!! any ideas?

Hey ladies.
this might be gross, but i asked a similar question before but didnt really get an answer. OK i got my period in oct. It was normal. Then when i thought it had stopped it started again, but this time theres more bloody discharge. Its been going on since then. It stops and then it gets a little heavy and stops. What could it be. Last week, I went round my mate's flat after a support group that we both go to at the mental health team. Helped her paint her flat, then we had a few drinks after. The thing is, we sat down to watch Neighbours, Home and Away and Hollyoaks, and I only remember bits from those soaps. Apparently, I trashed my mate's flat, picked up her telly from her room and threw it on the floor and smashed it. Also knocking her pc off which she doesn't use, She had to call the police on me and I don't memba getting in the ambulance. I had 2 be restrained and got over 30 bruises all over me. Now this week, I got arrested and was interviewed. I was put in a cell with a police officer watching my every move. I also have an eating problem and also on medication. I have been released on bail till new year. Everyone says that as Im 6 stone, the booze is gonna tip me over the edge. I can't remember doing anything wrong at all. What am I likely to get next year? Got a caution 4 setting fire alarm already.

Why is there not a specific category for questions regarding addiction?

All estimates conclude that approximately 10% of the population is alcoholic, or addicted to other mood altering substances, i.e. street drugs or abusing Rx medications.

Such as ironing, washing dishes, preparing food etc. as I can't stand for more than a few minutes at a time due to arthritis. Can anyone tell me where I can get one? I've looked on a few mobility aids sites but all I can see are the shower stools, or bar stools which are too high. It would need to be of adjustable height as I am quite small. I'm sure I remember seeing one where the seat tilted slightly and really only supported your weight while you stood. But this was years ago before I needed it so I didn't pay much attention! Can anyone tell me where I can find one and what it is actually called?
