Hi, I just wanted to ask whether anyone knows any effective techniques to build up strength in the wrists and lower arms.

Also, before anyone posts any sarcy comments, don't even bother.
This is a serious question and I'd appreciate serious answers please.

The forearms are one of the smallest muscles, hence the hardest to build up. Loads of new innovations these days to build them up. something on the market called the 'powerball', basically a ball which rotates and you resist the tension. But personally, you cant go wrong with heavy lifting. heavy weights for 6-8 reps.. The best advice i was ever given was......once you reach failure on the 8th rep of a set and you feel the burn, that is when it starts to build muscles , so drop the weight by 50% push out another 8, then drop it by 50% again and do the same. Sounds easy? but it aint.Trust me it really works. All heavy lifting will get your forearms big. Push ups at home when your bored will help. Remember, the guys in the gym you are looking at have been training for years and years and are probably full of steriods. So take it at your own pace and work harder and harder each work out. Keep a diary of what you are lifting each session and aim higher. Try getting on a punchbag for an hour 2/3 times a week. You ever seen a boxer with small wrists? Big forearms and wrists only come through focused and determined training. Failing that, stick on some porn and have a power ****! Good luck.

Practice swinging nunchaku and your forearms will be so strong like mine. You can feel the build up of lactic acid and your arms scream for more when you swing them in all different directions for an hour or so.This is only usefull if you enjoy learning to weild the nunchaku.

this is honestly one of the body parts that are not easy to develop...

you could use wrist curls... using a light weight... just curl them so that only your wrists move... you could try them with your wrists supported by your knees or a bench.... or you could try them standing.. the dumbbell in front of you... or at the back...

anyway... if you just continue with the work outs... sooner... your wrists will also develop.. slowly though...

its not easy to fast-track these bodypart... it has less muscle than the pectorals or thighs...

Well I would suggest light small weights and just use them with your wrists/arms
